R.I.P. Thread

this thread is to bring attention to the loss of and praise to the works of those who are no longer with us. thus far i have seen many for various celebrities, but i'd like one where we can keep coming back to.

this past week we have unfortunately lost two of my favorite musicians...

R.I.P. Guru, a man who changed and improved hip-hop forever.

R.I.P. Peter Steele, a man whose voice has helped me through dark times over and over and over for over a decade now.

Guru? Is that a nickname for gang star? I've heard some music by gang starr, and he was awesome. If he'd passed on, that sucks.

Gang Starr was the group Guru formed. Y'all don't know bout that Gang Starr. But I had no idea he was battling cancer. I grew up on alot of them jams back in the day. May he R.I.P.

yeah man, guru was in a coma. came out of it... and then left.

This is in memory of.

Peace guru.

This guy died a long time ago, but I feel he deserves a place in this thread. I'm talking about Brion James, a character actor who did a ton of movies in the 1980s and 1990s. His more well-known roles were Leon from Blade Runner, Requin from Tango and Cash, and General Munro from The Fifth Element. Other than that, he played a bunch a heavys and secondary villains, but damn near stole every scene he was in. He was that good even though he wasn't a leading man. Sadly, Brion died far too young at the age of 54. I grew up watching this guy and he was one of my all-time favorites. R.I.P. Brion James 1945 - 1999

One of my college professors died yesterday morning from a heart attack. I liked and respected this guy a lot and this really hit me out of nowhere.

RIP Ronnie James Dio. a true legend of metal, he lost his fight with stomach cancer yesterday. at least i got to see him sing for sabbath in 2007.

Pat Morita a.k.a. Mr.Miyagi of Karate Kid. Man I watched all of em growing up, but the new one coming out reminded me. I'll be seeing that one.
