Entry fee is £10.00 on the door to cover costs of using the gamerbase. Any money left over from this goes into the prize money pot.

No other charges.
All ages welcome

Soul Calibur IV.
Will be played on Xbox 360.

Tournament format:
Round Robin FT5.
Winner is character locked
Loser chooses same stage or random.

Illegalities:

The following characters are banned from the tournament itself:
Algol, Hilde, Star Wars Characters, Bonus characters, Creat A Soul Characters.

The following Stages may be skipped if one or both parties chooses so:
All Star Wars Stages.
Phantom Pavillion: Seesaw.

Prize money will depend on level of attendance - minimum 1st place = £20.00 but may (and most likely will) be significantly more.

Food and drink is available at the venue (which is to say, there's a couple of vending machines, lol.) But it is located within a shopping centre and there's bound to be an Aldi somewhere. =/
There is also a pub two minutes walk away for keen drinkers like myself.

Finally, this will be the FINAL SCIV tournament held in the UK, anyone who has so far not managed to make a tournament or is interested in becoming an SCV tournament player, I urge you all to come! Its a great chance to kick back, have fun, meet the community and to learn.
Any skill level is welcome, low/mid/high whatever - tournaments are a great experience for anyone!
 
I won't be able to make it this time unfortunately, university FTW. ;)
But I appeal to each and everyone in the UK who can go there: Just get off your butts and do so. It's worth it.

I disapprove! Next time when I'm in the UK, I wanna have a pub right next to the tournament venue, too, ok?!

my mates host similar thing for tekken and they have ps3s
 
Bushy, you should invest in a controller converter thing, the soul reason I don't touch my Xbox is because I hate the massive controller, also using a Xbox controller when your used to PS3 will mess with your game so it's worth checking out ^-^
 
Bushy:My suggestion actually is buying a used PS1 pad (no analog sticks), and get a ps1/2 to 360 converter. The digital inputs on the PS1 controller makes hitting precise inputs 100x easier. I learned to wavedash/lightdash on one in T3/TTT, and whenever I use a pad for a game, that's what I use.

Or get a stick dual-modded.

ah kk thanks idle for that will def have to do that, I mean lol attempting to wave dash with that giant piece of plastic my prove troublesome. XD

Anywhooo am in mate can't have me missing the LAST SCIV tourney that wud be absolutly scandelous. Plus I will get to show off my improved Kilik and ever improving Cassy. See ya there mate. Oh and Kalas............ It most defiantly LAGER!!!!!!! Pfffftttt beer!!!!!!!! I hope there are some people out there confident enough to come along because it is such a good opportunity to learn and become better. Syn i miss offline so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Done dude, yeah i'll be up for going out afterwards, but will depend if I have horse lessons to help with and etc.
