Z.W.E.I. Patch/Wishlist

as a Z.W.E.I player, I am very happy with these buffs. i am one who fells that he needed NO ( yes NO)changes, but ill accept some for the better. its no secret that he has his challenges versus other characters.... but isn't that why you pick him in the first place.... you have to be a better player overall to win consistently and I'm always up for the challenge!

And yet Zwei's grab range is left untouched, what a joke. I'm losing so much faith in PS from this patch and if there isn't another then Zwei is pretty much done for.
 
basically meaning if you play someone at your skill level you have no chance in other words he's bottom tier

adapting is a part of winning.. if you cant change on the fly, no point... look at any great player. you will see multiple styles within the round.

no ones perfect at it. hell i sure as hell know its a challenge for me... that being said i welcome it.
 
3B BE change? eh

B+K range increased? this may be good actually, but it also depends on whether it works on his back turned B+K as well. this may let you get the double relaunch easier off of while rising B and consistently for more damage. it is currently possible, but only in specific situations so its not worth it. this may also be good for a few other things that i've concocted.

3A increased hit stun? hell yes. the real benefit of this may be how it interacts with 1B IR on CH and may make new combos possible...or it could be nothing.

another huge boon to him is that punishment characters, ala the sisters, can no longer spam out 236b in every situation for huge damage with no consequences besides just getting AA or K. if it will be -20, they are going to have to pick their spots. and with such a nice array of frame traps, you no longer have to fear it.

disappointed that his grab range wasnt increased though...thats really the only thing i was hoping for, and 4kb to be mid/mid maybe
 
Im happy with this. If they buffed him anymore he would have skipped from bad to god. theirs no in between with a character like this.

That's just not true. He needs the most buffs of any character. They wouldn't make him automatically top tier, since he has so many flaws. I think they're waiting for a separate patch to fit in all of his buffs. Seriously. These changes are minor and the top tier nerfs won't help if he isn't fixed.

Also someone said scrubs didn't complain enough about Zwei? He is the most complained about character just look at his thread section.
 
Actually after seeing Sosuhi, considering how young the game is, and after meddling in practice more I want to say he is definitely NOT low tier. There is so much to be found with him. Just take a lot of skill to play.
His attack flow is deadly, it works and can be applied well. His weakness in other aspects is more than compensated once his offence triggers.
 
By the way, does anyone realize how new 20-frame vulnerability backdash buffs ZWEI?

idk what you saw in the matches of sosushi that i didn't but he was using things that are already well known and they were working very effectively because the opponent had no idea how to play against zwei. There really isn't a whole lot of room for exploration either considering most of his creative stuff comes from holding ein and there aren't many legit ways to hold ein.
 
well for me sosushi or whathever he calls, is not so surprising, as babalook says, the oponents in the videos dont know how to deal with a lot of simple zwei things....like crouching the 2nd hit of 66BA and punish it......or.....using Tech Crouch hits between 4[A] and EIN hits, or keeping eating the same B+K(BE) setup with 3AA a lot of times, leting charge at maximum EIN in 4[A] withouth interrupt, etc etc........i play zwei a lot, i drop patroklos now...im just playing with zwei, and i have friends with high level play in my country, they know how to deal with all this stuff, and is a pain to win when the oponent know how to play against zwei....in online(ranked...loby) i win at least the 90% of the matches with zwei, but with my friends is 50/50 and sometimes i have more looses than wins...........but i keep saying, zwei have a lot of potential, but is a matter of time for develop a good style with him, but zwei for me is just a regular mid tier char with the tools he have, but i have very fun times playing with him ;)

I have to agree, that Zwei was good, but he was getting away with way too much shenanigans. People still just don't know how to fight against him. I'm pretty sure that guy could make any character look good with that defense of his. He's still fun to play. We shall see how much the other characters nerfs affects Zwei's matchups.
 
the only thing I would'e liked with him would be for 1A to not so easyily punished, it too slow to be handicapped
 
its only good in combos really. Throwing it out against someone that is just laying on the ground is EXTREMELY risky. It should be much safer for how slow it is. -16 or so would be fair. -20 is just retarded.
