Best games for the console, WITHOUT A DOUBT.
 
Disgaea 3 on the JRPG/strategy game side of things.
Sega's big game collection's worth looking into as well.
 
Yeah, there are some definite, glaring omissions. Uncharted and Ratchet and Clank for sure. Disgaea 3 and Valkyria Chronicles for lovers of strategy games. Everyday Shooter and the Pixeljunk titles on the PSN. And I don't understand the point of putting games that aren't release yet. If you're going to do that, you might as well include Killzone 2 since it at least is coming out in the very near future.
 
Curious if I'm the only one who was not impressed by Disgaea 3. Disgaea's formula gets tiring for me fast. Guess that explains why I only really enjoyed the first one.

i have disowned all console shooters after dealing with resistance 2. While the games may be good, due to crappy analog control on the PS3 it's just not viable in my opinion. The gimped aiming makes only a select few guns reasonable for online usage. If it's an offline game though i can deal with it as I don't have to worry about movements designed to be hard to fight with the analogs.

As for the jrpg's none have caught my attention yet so no studying to see if their worth the buy yet.

As for games coming out, I have a lot of faith in those titles. I just want a list from everyone that can point in a good direction to buy new games for the PS3. I've been pretty much on a fighter game spree with SF4, SF2:Hd, and SCIV since my computer gfx card died, cutting me off from Fallout 3, Left 4 Dead, and Team Fortress 2

Yet you listed FFXIII, which (from the looks ATM) is going to be XII with dynamic camera angles to fool you into thinking you aren't playing a turn-based game.
 
i only buy fighting games... besides that i sometimes will get a game if i'm a huge fan of it or if i get it as a gift... so with that said games i got as gifts were...

The analog sticks on the 360 controller are better. The 360 analog sticks are actually TRUE analog, there are varying degrees of direction and SPEED depending on how hard you throw the sticks. The PS3 analog sticks however, are only analog in direction, not speed. Yes, both the sticks have full degrees of directional movements, but only the 360 controller offers full controls of throttle. What I mean by this, is the PS3 analog sticks only have 3 speeds. So you could push forward at no speed, half speed, or full speed... and nothing in between.
 
id get a ps3 to play killzone 2 and ffXIII , but console exclusive games are getting fewer n fewer lately so doubt ill get a ps3 till dont have to sell a kidney to get one. killzone2 is v tempting though, but as far as i know im the only person in the world who liked the origional.
 
You should get a PS3 for Uncharted: Drakes Fortune & Heavenly Sword alone... both games are sub $20 now...

hmm i'd say uncharted, tekkenDR, and heavenly sword are the best ps3 specific games.

i have yet to play lbp outside of the beta...but it was good too.
 
well in my deluded little mind there gonna remake ff7 as ps3 exclusive lol, untill thn ill make do with my lil white m$moneybox, anyone heard much on the nxt drake uncharted game its supposed to be quite epic from what i hear.
ahhhh come on sony drop yer price i hate my xbox
