A sad ending, or bittersweet ending, doesn't mean you need to kill her off. Like you said, she'd be traumatized for the rest of her life. That's not very "walk into the sunset," in my opinion.

It's up to you. I've definitely had those stories where my favorite character dies and I almost rage-quit the story, but then the ending turns out to be well-written and I forgive the author. But I'm not happy about it, lol. This happened to me in "The Last of the Renshai" by Mickey Zucker Riechert. My two favorite characters died... But I still loved the book.

I kill off major characters when I think it benefits the story. Though, a few times I've grown too attached to a character and end up writing in a way for them to live. In my prewriting for the story I told you about, characters die left and right. Kind of unavoidable as a lot of the book is at war.

sorry. the internet's been down at my house so i have to borrow it for brief moments of time at my grandparents. i already started on concept art of each individual character and so far i have four other people and their characters on board.

what you have to do is if you're interested give me any rough draft pick of a character(if you want on in the story). whether they are a teacher/student/neither and for which school or none. age, height, weapon (if they use one), fighting style (if they use fist or have knowledge of one), powers if any, and a quick personality explanation. that's all i need for now and to get the story started.

don't know exactly when the first page will be started but that will be after the drawings for the characters are done. so i guess it's a little up to when i put an end date for joining. will have an idea once i get finished with characters. this is basically my drawing practice for the manga. need to get those action poses down!

Eager works, at the start at least, Emily is verrrrry devoted to Matthew. She's probably more of an anti-hero that I like to think, she's done and does horrible things, and Matthew can't take all the blame for it. How she makes amends. I planned the ending of this whole thing. Now just to get there..
