You know, I don't think Raph has a single completely reliable tech trap outside of 22B -> 33A (obviously garbage anyway). Maybe they could address that since he's all about conditioning anyway.
I also miss having a decent low poke from FC. The old FC 3B was fine, I wonder why they got rid of it...
I've found not having any realignment on the BBB series is really annoying. I guess this is the trend of strings in this game, but it's pretty ugly to watch this thing whiff. Not very easy to CH-confirm either. BB damage by itself is pretty bad-- whole series' damage isn't that great, and with...
I feel Raph deals with highs extremely well, just like SC4. It's TCing mids that have been his bane. I really wish VE was still around or at least B+K was useful. Honestly, with some of the shit a lot of characters have in this game, you should be able to B+K out of Prep and SE.
Empty Prep...
Speaking of reliability, A+B needs its animation redone. It was wonky in SC4, and to keep it the same in SC5 just screams laziness. The first hit retracts so far and goes down at a weird angle and.....it's just ugly and unreliable. No reason they wouldn't have noticed this move's flaws through...
He needs damage. If not from combos at least from pokes. He has to guess right significantly more than any other character.
He also needs reliable tracking horizontals. Pretty sad that Mitsu's verts track better than Raph's horis.
I would still love to know the reasoning behind Namco's...
Tbh, pre-patch 3B was stupid. It created an extreme dumbing-down of an already scant movelist since it was almost the only mid you ever needed (except for 66A of course). It was no risk/high reward in most match-ups, and although I abused the hell out of it, I can't say it was ever really...
Yeah, I play him quite a bit still. Not only that, but I don't even think he's that outclassed. I see lot's of whining about what he doesn't have, but some of his tools are actually pretty good. 22AB beats a lot of things. His ringout game is strong. Oki's not bad. 6B$ is an amazing punisher...
Any love for 22AB here? The more I use this move the more awesome it becomes. Its biggest perk it that sidesteps AND has a really fast TC so you can beat lots of things in certain situations. Yeah it's unsafe but it's got good range, an easy hit-confirm, and gives good options on CH.
He isn't as bad as SC4 Rock, but he feels very similar. Limited options even with such a tiny movelist. The difference is, Rock had 0 sources of reliable damage. Aeon's damage is really good, the difficulty comes in creating opportunities for damage. Despite his weaknesses I still think he can...
