Sorry, I've been busy lately with College work, stressed and I've gotta get lots of work done in time for University...
I'll write it up as soon as I'm free and I'll post it up.
I'm sure it'll be entirely possible, I'd have to do more tests though to see how changing the models worked - as it may be more complex than just changing a few bytes.
Oh believe me, there was a lot of trial and error - but I got there eventually. The crashes were probably caused by not resigning the save file? Thank you for your words. :)
I can't really say much on the PS3 version since I don't actually have the PS3 version - if you sent me a save I could...
I completely mapped out changing the CaS styles through hex-editing and changing regular characters fighting styles too. I'll write up a tutorial shortly enough if I get the time, my only worry is if that could cause problems with SCV, ESPECIALLY online, and I don't want to be the cause of any...
The first one is easy to find because the bytes above the character all follow a pattern. Then you have to search for the characters byte (they follow the model list you posted on Xentax - Mits = 00, Taki = 01, Voldo = 02 etc) until you find some bytes in between the character and their name...
No, because I believe that when you create a character, different items and names add bytes to the save.
Basically way above the character name in the save file is the data that is related to the character, then there is a sneaky byte hidden in between the code related to clothing.
The thing is...
Yeah, I've been working on it none stop for about 4-5 hours, I think I've figured out all the values that cover the fighting style, slot they are in, voice they use, whether they are CAS or a regular character, and other stuff. I will make one more test replacing Viola's fighting style for her...
About Saveediting, a guy on YouTube created a program called SC4CCEDIT which let you replace characters movesets with anothers without any graphical glitches / moveset glitches, he achieved this through save hacking. I believe there is a value that changes the moveset, but I am unable to...
Well at this very moment I'm actually searching through two different save files to find the values to change what moveset a character has. I was wondering about that and how you imported SCIV's movesets into the game, seems like a huge discovery if you ask me. I wouldn't mind looking myself, I...
