        Because of how complex fighting in a 3D plane is, I'd suggest teaching them the basics in a simpler game like SF2, teaching him simple stuff like combos. Then show him an early SC and show him how horizontals beat sidestep and basic stuff like that.

        Solid fundamentals are more important than teaching him how a character in particular works. If he can react to sidestep by mashing horizontal attacks then he's on the right track.

        Another concept people tend to have trouble with in fighters is blocking. Most genres will just have you eat damage for being in the wrong place at the wrong time, so in a way blocking is sort of counter-intuitive for most people (specially when it has a button with that sole purpose).

      CS can be buffered, its not that difficult, If you have in mind, you can sepparate the comand imput of the A+B button, they can be done separately, so you can delay a little bit the throw for ur convenience

        oh i do love it. its just that i dont think its guaranteed to be in evo. the only games taht are imo are tag 2, marvel and ae. everything else is up in the air. my guess will be p4a, ps allstars and MAYBE one other game which. if there is another one it will either be sc5 or doa5
