Well I picked Mitsurugi for pretty much those reasons. Relatively easy to learn, does good damage, has some good pokes and decent enough mixups. Plus Future Press released Mitsu's portion of the guide for free, so you can read that to get an idea on how to play as him.
Having the same problem with the guide, I looked all over T.O. The FIRST store I know of that had the UMvC3 guide told me "there isnt a guide for Soul Calibur"
I dunno about that. If you're referring to amazon.com, they're out of stock again. Supposedly my guide is being shipped tomorrow...
I'm new to this so maybe I'm testing it wrong, but it looks like the 1A can be blocked and the 66A+B can be avoided with a tech roll to the left or right. They'll get hit otherwise...
Looks like Nightmare's hitbox is a little wonky with some of the combos that ends in 1B. If you dash forward to go right up to him and start your 3B it's fine, but notice how after dashing into Nightmare you get moved back a bit. If you 3B from that moved back position, it looks like the 1B...
Nope! Can't find it ANYWHERE and it's irritating, since I know it's available in the US now. I must have this guide. I hope someone just scans the whole damn thing soonish so I can DL it.
It's a 3-frame input if performed correctly I believe, enable the input display when you're practicing it. You should have 2, 1, then 4+B on the same frame. Sometimes if your input looks perfect but you get dread charge it's because you tried to iGDR too early and were still in recovery frames...
