I'm doing an essay for college on Film/Television in regards to their literary counterparts. Game of Thrones, Let the Right One In, Arrietty, are all examples of ones that either got it spot on or came close (in GoT's case). I am of the opinion: "It was better in my head."

Not to mention the huge wolves. The second season I'm told got the budget to actually show some battles.

I find the new ones a bit too...glamorizing of war. They make the Vietnam War seem like it was really easy and ending because of some schizophrenic who had an imaginary friend. And the Modern Warfare series is just...stupid.

I fully agree with you. Film has gotten it right in a few cases though. My 6th grade history class, the teacher had us watch the first 20 minutes or so of Saving Private Ryan. Half of the kids walked out. That's the problem with video games, (I was in the Army) you're NOT supposed to be badass, you're supposed to be in fucking fear of your life.

Oh and on a totally unrelated note, I was thinking of getting SCIV.. is it any good? A friend of mine says it's.. "terrible" but he's not much of a SC fan.

SCIV is a lot simpler. No quick step or critical edge, but there is "Critical Finish" which is like a fatality but not bloody. I like fantasy, fiction, sci-fi, realistic fiction, and historical fiction. I enjoy history very much :)

I knew we had something in common! I have this silly thing for history, I enjoy it very much too. On the very rare events where I get to switch on the tv, all I'm watching is documentaries and history channels.

Raphael and me will never be friends. But Nightmare vs. Viola (Nightmare wins) = Nightmare losing control of arm, and is a unique win pose. If that's not a sign for something, Namco is fucking with our minds.

I don't blame you. Idiotic and aggravating peoples' antics annoy me too. It's just best to somehow build a higher bridge and get over it. You're not the one with a problem, it's them. But everyone may make an impact if one too many people put their two cents in, if you catch my drift.

I agree. Hunger Games was good but I couldn't truly enjoy it. My bio teacher is like...40-something. With a really bad dye job. Her acid-blonde (inside joke) hair with dark brown roots disturb us on Thursdays.

Ah, can't say I miss high school. College is nice though.
