[Florida] lol, Florida thread

I'm working on myself, two maybes, and can probably bring some drinks, can't afford alcohol though. what does everybody like?
 
Dude I dunno if I'm at the venue, and I hate to be a buzzkill....

I'm fine with 18+ drinking, even though THAT'S illegal, but 17? That's a liability, and in somehow word gets out or and cops come around, I can flush some weed down a toilet helluva lot easier then I can explain why a 17 year old has alcohol on his breath and is breathing a .04/.05.....

I'm not telling anyone to do ANYTHING, or not to do anything, and I'm not trying to ruin the party(whether I'm there or not), but Death, that's still a risk that if things go bad, we'd get in alot more trouble for then if you were, say, 19.
 
Dude, I'm not saying I'll get drunk or anything... I'm talking about one Smirnoff. Just one. Its so damn tasty. But yeah, I understand where you're coming from, no worries.
 
1 smirnoff is fine, 2 is prolly fine, just have a limit somewhere around there. And use mouth wash/have mouth wash available, because they myth busted the Breathalizer and Mouth Wash is the only thing that actually tricks it.
 
Yeah, the whole alcohol thing, maybe somewhere else after the meet up, I would hate to draw the wrong attention to our VERY FIRST meet. You being underage and all, is not a good look (even though I saw a girl, who I know is about 16, at a nightclub, with X's on her hand and two beers, lol.) I'm in my 20's and all for having a good time, just try an not make it happen at the venue, I would hate to disappoint and prevent future get-togethers.

Alright price and time, well there will be a pot for the tourney players, which I'm assuming everyone that comes will like to join. But, if you decide to just come for some casuals and watch, then there still will be a venue fee. I'm pushing for,(again this still isn't in stone, I meet with them at 5 pm today) $25 for the tourney player's, $5 going to the venue, 20 for the pot. Those who come for just casuals will still have to pay the venue, but it'll be $10, to compensate for non-competitors. The time of day will probably start around 2- 4pm, and move on until it's over, again the staff will let me know how much time is allotted today.

Again, this is to revive some offline comp here in Central Fl, maybe it'll become more of a buzz now, I just want to put some faces to all these thread posts, lol. As for everyone helping and bringing stuff, I really appreciate it. Death, if you do bring your PS3, make sure your there if not early, then on time, so we'd have everything set up for when it officially starts. Musician, you could bring whatever you like, anything is greatly appreciated.Hope everyone is as hype for it as I am. Beloved, I really hope you make the turnout, I would love to see some of the others from this thread make it, too.

And does this mean tourney players are going to have to pay $50 just to enter? That's a bit...high if so.

No, tourney player's will be paying $25 dollars for the day, $5 is going to the venue, and $20 to the pot. Your total cost is only $25.

Also, Suirad, I'm pushing for October 16th, it's a Saturday. I was supposed to meet with everyone yesterday, but they closed early because she went into labor, and last night she gave birth to a baby boy. Congrat's to Pam, and I'll probably be back in contact with her son in the next two days.
 
Cant make any promises, nor do I plan on brining alcohol, but I can sometimes get deals on soda and juice. Perhaps if we can find a carbonated beverage that lots of people who plan on going like, I can bring a quantity of it. just let me know
 
Ok so I am going to be in FL before/after the weekend of the 15th... If you have the tournament then I will be there. I also plan on heading down to Miami because I doubt he posted it here but Norman (AKA Zasalabob champion of the universe) lives there now! YAY! Hit me up if you want to get some games in
 
Okay lemme get this straight, because I very well MAY BE ABLE to come now.

October 16th, Orlando, where at exactly? There some general guideline directions to get there from I-4 corridor, leaving Lakeland and heading east to Orlando exits?

I assume Death has a ride already worked out, if not he can ride with me, though even I'd prefer a ride because my car sucks ass and highway driving isn't good for it.

Brewtusbibulus, it'll be nice to play you there, I assume Enkindu's gonna be present, so we got 3 Voldo's(you, him, me) to wreck house.
 
Yeah, I've got a ride. But, BC, I would appreciate it greatly if you could give a few of my friends a ride with you. I'll make them pay for gas. Also, you can follow us to the gathering place if you don't know how to get there.

sooo... can we get a confirmation of the 16th?? I'd really like to know if I need to take the day off or not.

Deathinmyeyes and BelovedChild(cuz I'm so special) are 100% GOING TO PARTICIPATE, and I'm pretty sure Death is bringing his friends along to join in on the tourney as well. Hope their's enough room in the house/venue to accomodate them and my fat ass.
 
I'm 90% (barring tragedy) gonna come and visit FL and you guys with Bibulus. Maybe I'll bring a special friend too. I've never met like 99% of the FL community. Would be nice to.
