The AMAZING SC5 Online General Discussion Thread

Online is legit enough to learn match-ups and practice with now, especially 4/5 bar.

There are dropped inputs, sometimes, and input lag doesn't seem to depend on the bars in question. I've had awful input lag at 5 bars and virtually none at 3. Anyone have any idea why?
 
I had a match with a kid from Japan and I live in VA that was 3 bars but barely had any lag. Then I played a match with someone in TN and it was 5 bars but I couldn't get any stance moves right because I was looping past them.

But 90% of the time I am having great connections and am enjoying playing online
 
Wow, this time the title actually doesn't look sarcastic! SCV online is AMAZING~ Played it a bit on release day and was neither here nor there, though it was an improvement. Now that I've had time actually sit down and waste my weekend on it, wow! I only play 4-5 bar connections and really haven't had any problems with lag at all.
 
I played SC5 online and offline yesterday, and I'd say anyone complaining about laglows in SC5 is pretty stupidxD

5 times now have I gotten a Phyrra player with a Maxi CE in between her 66B BE. This online is amazing lol.

Also on an even funnier note Dampierre CE on Yoshi CE. Yes it works and I was crying from laughter during the animation. Good thing it was the final round and it KO the Yoshi Player otherwise I would have lost. Totally incapacitated from the laughter. Couldn't ready up either lol.
 
Starting to see a trend of players concealing their characters with CAS parts. Just played a crazy looking voldo surrounded by giant prayer beads. Was a little hard to read. Hmmm...

My friend has a mummified undergarment that is all black so when I break his armor he disappears on some stages. You factor in that he mains Broken Jin so I don't even have a weapon or trail to follow.

I love DevilJin. My Snow CAS works so well with him :<

Your example reminds me of UMVC3 stages that are hella dark, so people pick all-black-outfitted teams
 
I had such a rough day online today. Not playing for 24 hours ruins me. Dino's Voldo just toyed with me both times we played (although he is the first voldo I've played in 130 online battles). Salt levels through the roof. Went from 83-12 to 95-25. It burns.
 
Any non-US non-Japan online player here? When trying online with my fellow indonesian we always get 1 bar and dc immedeately at start of match but then I met this korean guy and we get 3 bars and it was perfectly playable, in beginner level at least. Seems like a bug rather than shitty netcode
 
Maxi's 6A+B and BT B+K is the bane of Natsu players existence lol. The can't put forth a frontal assault and any flips overhead will be met with a BT B+K 2KB combo. Made four of them Rage quit in a row. Good times.
 
I got Soul Calibur 5 but no more PS3 for me. I got the Yellow Light of Death yesterday after having my PS3 for about5 or 6 years. Has anybody ever got this before and how do I fix it? I want to play Soul Calibur 5. Lol
