[MD, VA, WV] sure is dead here

Good times, MD/VA, good times. Really. Many more to come. I should be towing a bigger crowd with me in the near future....we gotta represent WV.

Holy shit snacks! This thread is literally like traveling through time! So many OGs!

I'm gonna have to start making it out to Xanadu.

Jaguar from SRK is hosting another session at Anime Pavilion in Falls Church on Sunday night starting at 6pm. These are multi-game casuals, with a strong KOF showing. There's also a sizable contingent of VF players who float through.

I live in Falls Church and was really dismissive of this strange little otaku hole in the ground as a venue. But the space is decent, players are friendly and it's not a nasty smoke-filled pit like Cybergrounds. The doors open (aka, the teenage YugiOh players lave) around 6, players arrive in force by 8 and games normally continue well past midnight.

I'll set up a Calibur station early in the evening, and will be back through to play around 9. Hope to see some other NoVa folks out!

Hey guys. I'm in the SoVA community, but I've spent the last 4 months deployed. Thought the crowed was dead until I saw Winback, Blackula and Tom Brady's names appear in the tournament thread. I'm hoping to work on my Mitsurugi game into competive shape when I get back to SoVA, so I might have a chance to win at least one game when I go to EVO this summer. Hope to meet up with you guys when I get home.

Longtime SC player here, just recently made an account. I live in Bowie, MD, but could make it to anything in the DC Metro Area. Are there any regular tournaments that will take place on a weekend in the area? I can't do weekdays because of my work schedule.

Millionz: Was attendance at the GMU event enough to justify another in the near future? How did the event go overall?

Event went well. I was pretty disappointed that more MD/VA players didn't come out, but we still managed to get the biggest turnout of all the games we hosted. Can't give a specific date yet but we do plan on running more SCV events in the future.

Great to hear that the event went well Millionz. I'll definitely be at future events as long as work doesn't get in the way, which it shouldn't.
