I believe it's timing specific, not character specific. You have to time the first hit of 1B BE differently with various characters.

At least I think so. Does NM fall out after getting hit by the first hit of 1B BE after a CH 3B?

I don't think it's possible to do on NM. If you time it perfectly the first hit of 1B BE connects, but then he falls and the second hit misses. On Pat, it's super easy to time, and it's very consistent.

By the way, how do you guys CH confirm 3B? I got into the bad habit of just using 6B8 on CH and option selecting 6B8K when it's NH.
 
I watch out for that note on the side with "counter" in it. That's how I do it with all CH confirm which aren't optically clear.

It's strange, at evo they always turned battle info off, so you couldn't see the "counter" note.

Also... FC 1(B)B, 6, 1B BE x4, 6B8 for 130dmg works on Pat, but haven't gotten it to work on NM...

I don't see why they would be... My guess is some of the scrubs less competitive players accidentally changed it when going into control settings. But if you watch some of the streamed videos, a lot of them don't have it.

I can do it vs Nightmare. The timing is weird though... and you have to be right on top of him. It won't connect at tip range.

You sure? It seems like I can only make it happen near the wall.

Oh, do you mean the FC 1(B) combo? Yeah, I just now got that to work on NM. My main concern however is CH 3B, 1B BE x4, 6B8.
 
On Nightmare I can get 3B CH 1B BE x 4 6B8. You've gotta be right on top of him though, otherwise it whiffs. I'd record it, but I can't seem to get counterhit settings on 2p record to work.
 
Here's my streamed match at EVO (starts at 13:00). I noticed a lot of things I do wrong or have a really obvious habit of doing, but I'd like your input. What did I do wrong/right/can change? Please let me know and looking forward to your feedback!

Match 1: You did well here. You had just the right amount of pressure. Missed a couple punishes and whiffed a couple attacks, but nothing too serious. Plus, you won =D

Match 2: Not sure what happened here... seems like you just got a bit ahead of yourself. In round 1 you missed a crucial wall combo. Also, practice FC 1B, G, 6B8. Even with tourney nerves, you have to get this combo down. Round 2 you kept using 1K as ground pressure when 2K would've yielded the same results. Study up on Leixia's frames so you can figure out what punishes what. 3B will interrupt 66BB. Round 3, the leixia wasn't punishing 214B, why not keep using it >=]

Match 3: Wa.... Wait a second, you won this series! Why am I critiquing it!? =P Clearly this match, you regained your focus and came out strong, congrats! Be happy you have a streamed series that you won, even I don't have one of those XD.
 
Match 2 was just... awful. Lol. I wasn't expecting the 3B to hit the wall and randomly got a 1B out. FC1B G 6b8, no matter how many times I practice this move, it just effs up on me at times. I think I have it about at 95% at the time, which would mean around 80% in tournaments. Also, I'll post up a match between me and Malek FT3 soon... you'll see how much better he is with FC1B than me. :(

I saw him falling for 1K a lot during match 1, but was naive enough to think he wouldn't adapt. Clearly, he did. I did not. :(

Thanks for the 66BB info! That shuts down a lot of Leixia offense. I also should've been jg-ing 66AA there -- that's the reason for the facepalm.

I gave him too much credit with that 214B. I was like 'this isn't gonna work again'. Clearly, it would have. I did take advantage of him not stepping 44B+K though... muahahaha.

I do think I'm missing CS pressure, but I'm not sure how to apply it in my game yet. I have the execution down, but not the proper set ups to go along with...

Lastly, I did win, and I'm happy about that, but I feel I won on character ignorance slightly more than my skill. I know I can improve more than that. :)

yeah, the 1B BE combo off CH 3B on nightmare won't work if you're too far. it's the same as getting FC 1B to work on him. if you're trying in practice mode, you have to step around his front foot to get close enough. harder to hit in a match because you have to be right up on him. works best when you get a CH 3B from tech stepping a move at close range

Had a weird moment against a Hilde. They went for her linear UA and I did the 214B and we somehow cancelled each other out.

I got a new phone today and it doesn't take as good a video so sorry for the quality.
