I know a person that won a tournament with Leixia actually, anyway she is not half as bad as people make her look, she can put some pressure and the step power of her....dear God....and there is the fact that almost every knock of and launcher of her combo with her Ce.... just saying

I won tourneys in SC4 with Rock. That doesn't make Rock good, that makes my competition sub-par. Not all tournaments are created equal. I'm not saying I disagree with your premise; but I am saying it doesn't necessarily hold any weight.

What I'm trying to say is, the "bottom tiers" in SC5 are way better off than the bottom tiers in any previous SC, so Leixia being so terrible isn't being Rock SC4 Terrible, or Sig SC3 terrible, etc.

Now...I really impressed won a tourney with Rock congrats.
I see what you mean, this is a good sing if so, proves that the game is somewhat more balanced than the past ones.

I agree. I feel like even with Zwei I have a fair chance where as last game when I picked Zas and they got Amy I just put down the controller mentally haha.

Oh no don't even go there (phew sarcasm). Poor Raph...wow even the female characters hit harder than he does. Such irony: Raph hits like a girl. Thus is namco's efforts. Thus, thus, thus...
Raph used to be so respectable in my eyes. SC2 Raphael was perhaps the best incarnation followed by SC3 Raph. SC4 & SC5 Raph just made him worse and affable. I can't someone serious who says they're a vampire (or former) or an apparition (in SC5) and has a maximum damage of a throw pillow.

No wonder why Raph lost his popularity and appeal. Thanks a lot namco :( A tragic character deserves much more respect. Btw can we let go of this myth that SC2 Raph was good?? Raph had plenty of weaknesses and problems back then too, and that incarnation of Raph was not ideal imo, especially with step g whoring. SC4 and SC5 Raphs have strengths...in fact SC5 Raph is the best one so far, despite what most people say.

Let's not exaggerate either. Why is everyone so concerned with "high" damage?? It's as if 100 is still not enough. Just 40 is decent in my books. It's not like Raph does 1 damage per hit; Raph can cause pain with some moves even though other characters get bananas damage. Im sure Raph, youngfox and wuht would be disappointed with my comment about him hitting like a girl so forget what I said.

Conflating wanting to play the game as intended with something negative is worse than implying everyone is a unique snowflake and should be supported.

I never got into the whole SC system of fighting. What I mean is like I'm sure most folks here know how to Guard Break perfectly or attack frames and etc and etc. I always played SC for fun. Tournaments are evil with their superb players! *Shakes fist* Lol I miss SC2's game mechanics. People will say its "broken" by todays standards but the game was stupidly fun and that's what I want for the future of SC. FUN. Stop nerffing everyone and give me Character Gallery!

Hey I agree. Having fun is most important :) but you would want the combat system to be as fair as possible. I won't get into details but PS needs to change direction, stop with all the nerfs, and give back all the modes we loved!!

I found SC2 to be fair play. Me and my cousin had many great fights and any time we felt cheaped we blamed on the gods or the "evil ways" of fighting games. The typical stuff.

Man, every time people talk about Raphael, I realize that no one knows how to play him. He gets great damage off of whiff punishes. He's linear as shit, but I'm not as convinced he's an OMFG RUSH THAT SHIT DOWN NAO character like almost everyone who plays him against me seems to think.

As long as you're not playing ZWEI, your character is viable. I'd love to say "even ZWEI isn't as bad as people think", but if I did it'd only be because he's actually worse.

Whoa whoa whoa I am a Raph player and I know how to use him. I agree he is no rush down character; in fact, that's suicide with Raph. Just be defensive wait for your opponent to make mistakes and then punish or counter. Wait for openings for fancy big damage combos. Raph may be linear but he has ways to stop step too, especially in SCV.

Edit: Idle really is blunt :)
