[Oct 24, 2014] FSAK 2 - Coming Soon (Irvine, CA)

Lets hope no one cheats in this one and colludes to throw matches to cheat the french out of rightful wins
 
Here's what you guys should do:

1. Run 4 man round robin pools into a double elimination bracket.
2. Call this anything but FSAK 2. There's no reason to call this FSAK 2, or anything with FSAK as an acronym. Any of the following names would be more suitable:

Half Speed Ground Sweeps
The Dickening 2: Donger's Revenge
SausageFest
Gamers in a hot ass room playing SCV
SCV Nationals

Agree. Can't be FSAK without a round robin.

Glad to see that people still remember FSAK fondly. I have no problem with people using the name FSAK, I've said that many times, as long as it's a round robin. Watch out for collusion, make sure you have enough equipment, have fun, and best of luck! -Idle

I saw this on fb. Thought to myself if this event was taken really seriously like the original with the FSAK title I'd surely make a return solely for this one tournament.

Then I read the thread and realized years later when people mature and change some still are clearly children. Sad. Then I thought to myself if the mentality of some people still haven't changed years later why bother.

No worries one party of the collusion tactics that occurred at FSAK instantly changed his mind as a result as fast as he was interested.

SU, as a big fan of your legendary Kilik, I'd love nothing more but to have some of the great names return just at lease for this one tournament, especially you. I've always wanted to face you offline. I can guarantee you we'll do the impossible to make this work out. And besides, we have the support of the community as well. Please consider giving it a try. Seeing your name on the list will attract other big names as well that might be looking forward to the good ol times

The problem was later in the tournament people threw matches so the only one with a chance could catch up to first place. You should have a winners and losers bracket with the top 4 being in winners then 5-8 placers being in losers that will prevent the same type of abuse

Su exactly there weren't even bans handed out for collusion.
In esports you get a lifetime ban ,the people didn't get anything for doing what they did. And I'd just like to say they didnt cheat for esports money aka millions of dollars. Iirc it was only $5000
 
What we're aiming to do is to run this as smooth and best as possible. I want to have enough time for dream matches and a team tournament (that hasn't happened in a good while).

After the official announcement there'll be a thread, if not this one, where people will be able to call their dream matches on. The ones with most votes or with more repetitons will be streamed.

If we do have enough time, and providing the following people attend, I can already see some of the dream matches being called:
KC vs LP
KCD vs IRM
DIME vs Thermidor
Xeph vs Woahhzz
Ramon vs SU
Manta vs ARU
RTD vs Mateo (or Belial)

And of course, the East Coast vs West Coast team tournament.
 
Oh how u are so naive bubbles. The mark of a child indeed. It makes sense seeing how your capacity to ever show up for tournaments is pretty much nonexistent, when compared to your ability to run your mouth about a gaming tournament. The beauty of going to tournaments as well as always being somewhere in the top pile is being able to witness collusion for itself.

I could name drop so many instances of collusion that has occurred over the lifespan of SC4 and yes SC5 as well. So many in which I wasn't even apart of. Naive you are. Thats why the beauty of you trying to single me out makes you look so stupid. As we all know it extends itself far past SC as well.

But the saddest thing of all is so many years has past since FSAK. New friends, new respect, increased reputation has all occurred since that very event but still people like you still hang on to tired things from the past all the while still doing nothing to ever support the state of SC since then (and you didn't even do so then). Its quite pathetic really.

Moving on @Zane I can't make any promises as I've long since stopped playing SC but if the event ever really takes off seriously I'd love to participate and I've always been down to play people so I'd be honored. Thanks for the high regard as well.

Lastly @Thuggish shut up biatch, that Kilik was legendary. Deep down you know you loved it ;p

Also i guess you're an easy target since i admitted to it as well last time. Along with other "Top" players. Making a late bracket would help! instead of the point system straight through. Also why is anyone paying attention to what bubbles is saying?
