Hilde: Q&A/General Discussion Thread

You should go for c1a-22b- loop. This can be difficult depending on the angle and size of the character you hit with the c1a. If you hit them straight on with the wall the 22b follow up is always guaranteed.

c1a -w-c1a-w -AB hold-loop- this is a wall combo thats usually guaranteed. When you let go of c1a charge the next c1a right away. This is good cause you actually can c1a- move left or right and realign with the wall-c1a.

side notes about wall combos

3b wall splats on small and breakable walls. If its a breakable wall just do 3b-3ba RO. If its small wall you can do 3b-3b be(do it slow so the second part of 3b BE hits their body off axis)- RO. Or you could even do 3b-3b-AB hold. I wrote some extensive stuff about wall combos and c1a ill try to find it for you.

i never would've thought 22B combos off C1A w. thanks for the info! =]

Am i the only one who get completely destroyed by voldo and leixia? i find them the toughest to deal with, especially when voldo does that ...i dunno...scissors clipping move? repeatedly i'm sure who encountered it would know which one i mean... turtle and get myself spammed to death

@AndyrooxDS He probably means 66B BE.
@qDisturbance 66B BE can be tough to deal with at first because it's fast, the 2nd hit can't be stepped, is +10 on block, and breaks your guard very quickly. However it's far from a safe, spammable option. If you sidestep it Voldo is left vulnerable for a very long time. You can also Guard Impact or Just Guard the second hit. JG will give you pretty much any move you want (i25 or faster) and GI will give a mixup at +27 or a free launcher if Voldo doesn't have the meter to re-GI. Some characters can step the 2nd hit of 66B BE, but I find it less reliable than JGing.

the one in this video at 0:49 it's not a BE, i've never played Voldo so i don't know the inputs :?

i apparently lack the stepping skills because when i try to, i eat it.
How does kamichang do that backstep so fast? is it a Just Step or something? because when i try it i just walk after the first step and not even close to that speed.

the voldo move is CR BB. i usually JG the 2nd hit.
the backstep looks like 2121 or 214 maybe. hard for me to tell.

something weird happened when i was hilde vs rugi. i went to punish MIST w/ 22B but rugi used an armord move (MIST A+B iirc). however he absorbed the 1st hit on 22B but hilde didnt do a 2nd hit, so i ended up just standing there @_@

man somehow kamichang got the best MU's. Saw him lose to a random pyrrha in the team tournament for WGC. I think he took hilde really far, but there is also a lot more that can be done. I wish i could see some currents vids of him. Never seen him even fight a viola tbh.

Vs Viola he's the best Hilde i've seen so far, never seen him use 66a+b or any of the C4s which quite the opposite of what i do :P

About 66 a+b, i dont understand how to use it, lol. Kenetic clash is learning hilde right now and i noticed he uses it pretty well vs me. I still think its kind of a shitty move.

c4b sucks, c4a is super legit but not having A button in certain Mu's for 15 seconds can lose you a whole round. I have had players jg both on reaction. Offline good players will jg c4b every time. I wouldnt crutch on c4's to much its kind of a online tactic. When i play laggy people i tend to use them :)

unless they're down from 22B and you didn't charge, everyone sidestep or roll on ground when i try it so you're not wrong :/ though the move itself is useless but still cool to kill with.
man that sucks JGing an unblockable that is risky and takes that much effort (compared to others) is not fair they either should make it the only Absolute-unblockable or give her a quick one the next SC >.<

got any replays for your matches?

no, i wish i could though. I play in 8wayrun247 alot. You can see me play in there. The thing about c4b is i dont think there are any legit setups for it. Meaning it can always be step'ed. So they dont even have to JG it like they would c4a.

I still like to destroy players who've never seen it before >:] sometimes i just have one more hit to lose and they have ~full health...it burns them xP
i'll check 247 from time to time

That's 214 or 24 repeated, where the 4 input is as short as possible. Hilde has possibly the best movement in the game, take advantage of it. Also worth noting is 8 68 68 68... hilde's repeated step has got to be the fastest in the game.

When i first started using that wavedash like a year ago everyone thought i was doing it just to show off. I kept trying to tell people how good it is. Its funny that now everyone thinks so highly of it. Btw i think algol has best wavedash in the game.
