Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag

This does look awesome. I missed out on the second game but I got a chance to play the third one and it really let me down. Hopefully this one lives up to what I'm seeing.

I dont know why people hate on the AC3. Despite the fact that Conner was just a dull character, the game was ok with me. Not the best one. But not a horrible experience.

Im totally stoked for this game. Im a huge AC fan of the series and cant effin wait to sit back with my lay-z-boy and my pepsi and veg out for a weekend! It looks amazingly beautiful and the new main character seems like a fuckin bad ass.

CANT WAIT!!

After the amazing opening 2-3 hours the rest of it just came off as so boring. I was so excited to play Connor and then it just got so dull.

Yeah you know that I get. First half the game was pretty amaze-balls. Other half, yeah he just lacks a good personality.

So you and my sister are the only two people I've ever heard say amaze-balls. Is it a California thing?

Not gonna lie. Heard my wife say it. Used to give her shit about it, but it has rubbed off. I reluctantly use it, if it makes you feel better hahahaha

As someone who has near 100% in every game and lots(I mean tons) of AC merchandise I am very excited for this game. Cant wait to see how they play out after the ending of 3.

I had more fun playing as Haytham than Connor. After that, when I played as Connor I felt the game became, walk over here, follow this guy, loading, fast travel here, loading, follow this guy, loading, cutscene, loading, it just got repetitive and boring for me.

Yeah cant argue with that. Towards the end i was killing random gaurds just so i could have something to fight. The second half of the game got really redunant

I actually like how this looks, my issue is, I haven't played any of them. I got AC: 2 while it was for free so I am jumping in the series way late.
I do like the gameplay and story lines the have in each game.

Was kind of surprised we did not have a thread for this. Thought I would open one up.

So what do you all think of the game? I love the single player but they ruined the multiplayer completely for any online competitive player and butchered it down to make it very casual based which kind of sucks but whatever. Multiplayer aside though its a great game.

My best friend is playing this game right now... xD I'm not getting it until next gen, I have it pre-ordered for XB1. I figured the graphics and performance would be better on it, and I love my assassin creed games!

Can't give my full review because I'm not watching any gameplay footage because I don't want to be spoiled. But other than that, I know it's gonna rock!!! =]

I have it pre-ordered for next gen but my finances are so tight right now I'm worried I won't be able to afford it. :(

At the request of a bud of mine I made a small commentary guide on two of the 4 legendary ship battles. Slight spoilers for those who want to experience the battle themselves. Ill have the other two up today or tomorrow
