Lol at peoples not getting that for many the issue is not some fucking politically correctness bullshit crusade

Actually politically correctness treat is part of why SHs stay the fuck away from the old school "world theme"

I can't give a spinning fuck about have a feminist fat black atheist hipster-glasses single mom that beat up peoples with a wheelchair and have mature-non-stereotype winning quotes about life

Just fuck that retard generic-fantasy-teen-anime shit and give me back my old school awesome "world tour" theme

But ignorant teen like it, market give it

Again, fault of the audience

But please, don't try to turn into naive ideals crusade
SC had great style art direction/theme back in the days, then killed it trying to blowjob some dollar$
Some peoples just wish to see "classic SC" come back

ps: and to be fair, cast aside SC4 was waaay worse than SCV
At least Sieg is no more ridicolous, Night more human, Cervy almost come back to SC1's days.
Asta is VanHelsingTheMovie's Frankenstein monster but at least is no more dat gum trash Power Ranger villain lava-shit
And as Guest Ezio is an italian renassaince dude (lol more SCish than Zwei/Viola/Natsu) and not some shit scifi Star Wars bunch of unfitting douchebags with sci-fi eye killer space station stage
Far to be a return to awesomeness of the past, but still a -very little- step in right direction

Exactly. The game is only racist if you make it out to be. Everything must be politically correct these days, even if it has no obligation to be. SC is what I call a historical fantasy. It is set in a real time period, but it has fantasy elements, like living swords and alchemy.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The world is ready for another trap character.

Alchemy isn't fantasy, it existed.........

How about a new elf character? Although they were both non-canon, the soul series had Link and Scheherazade? It could maybe work as long as the voice isn't shrill and annoying.

Well It better not be Legolas, I hate that guy. That new Hobbit movie where some wimpy blonde hair kid kills 100 badass looking Orcs. Was all kinds of BS and lameness. In general I've always had a problem with the whole looking weak but being strong thing. When I typed in Orc warrior into google, I had like a billion cool pictures I could put in. Vice Versa, I couldn't find anything of interest when I googled Elven warriors.

But just to show the drastic difference. Here's Orc cosplaying vs Elf cosplaying.

Doesn't Astaroth (or any Golem for that matter) qualify as a kind of Orc?

Astaroth is based on the Jewish folklore of a statue coming to life. Not even remotely close to being an orc. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golem

And even if Lord of the Rings has twisted your mind with it's psuedo lore. Gollum from Lord the Rings is actually a hobbit who got corrupted. Not an Orc or Goblin even though he resembles them closer.

Interesting, makes sense considering Astaroth was created by a wizard. Though AFAIK, Astaroth is based on Mesopotamian folklore, and the name actually comes from a Babylonian goddess, which eventually translated into a male demon in medieval Europe.

But I'd like to add that the story of a human-like sculpture coming to life is not exclusive to Judaism; it's just that Jews have been very good at documentation for a long time, so of course they'd be among the first to write about it. That part just tickled me the wrong way.

Nitpicking aside, the idea of an Orc sounds like it could work, but what kind of fighting style would he have?

I think having another heavy hitter. Have him carry big weapons, preferably 2 different weapons. So they could add a lot of interesting attacks with him. Like this dude, big club/ big axe in the other hand.

Or maybe something like a one handed hammer. Since that would be a completely new style for Soul Calibur.

P.S. I'll tickle you all day Norik.

We need more indigenous people in the game such as the Aztecs from MesoAmerica, Maori warriors from Polynesia, Aborginal Indians from Australia (I'm sure they had some weapons like a spear and boomerang), and of course Native Americans (BANGOOOOOOOOO!!!!)

Once again, the notion of racial diversity is met with hostility and complaints of "political correctness".
I couldn't be any less surprised if I tried.
