Which version of Sc2 is the best?

I've been told that SC2 HD is a remake of the PAL version. I've also been told that the PAL version was the most glitchy of the three (PAL, USA, JAP).

So which original version was the best? Would I be better off sticking to my old American copy on my old PS2? Or should I just buy it on my PS3?

The online in HD is unplayable anyway (according to many) so I don't give a rats ass about that feature. I have a few friends who only like sc2 casually. The only problem is that one of my ps2 controllers is falling apart, I somehow lost my memory card, and it's damn near impossible to find either a controller OR a memory card. Not to mention it is a pain in the ass using controllers with a damn chord that isn't long enough, lol. The only wireless controllers for ps2 that I ever saw had shitty d-pads (like the logitech for example).

Seems to me like it might just be cheaper and easier to just download it on my ps3, but then again, is the North American version less glitchy?

SC2 HD is based on the PAL version, no matter if you buy it in North America or elsewhere. Its all the same.
The one game breaking glitch in this one is that Cervantes A+K crashes the game. The rest are the standard SC2 glitches which especially on a casual level wont matter that much, not to say at all.
 
In story mode, the bells on the destined battle don't sound.

This bothers me more than you could possibly know.
 
Even though I prefer NTSC versions, the PAL version isn't giving me any troubles. I never encountered any problems when Captain Crunch (Cervantes) does that A+K move nor did I encounter Ivy's glitch. Guess I'm one of the few lucky kids here lol

Cervantes A+K only fucks up the game against A moves i think. When you use it to Auto GI a horizontal Mid kick (Yoshis 1A eg) it works fine.

Still you cant really use it due to this. Can you please check? Just try to A+K Ivys AA...
 
I just picked up the GCN JAP version from my recent trip to Japan and, as of yet, I haven't seen too many differences between the two (although I kinda just went through arcade mode and played some VS matches)
 
SC2HDO is just a huge disappointment overall. The graphics don't hold up as well as they did on the PS2 (the version I had) and the online part is so bare bones. Suffice to say, if you have an original copy of SC2 on the Xbox, PS2, or NGC, just play those.
