DARK SOULS 2- Praise the sun

WoG isn't that good...
It's a lot slower than it was in DS1, and doesn't seem to be hard to roll after this patch. Nothing else shares it's animation so you know what's coming, and unless you have 50 ATN for whatever reason it's only got 1 cast... and I don't think you can legitimately get more than 1 of the spell as it's a covenant reward.

Also, although I was using Chime of Want and not Dragon Chime, it hasn't 1-hit killed anybody I've landed it on today... 1200 damage or so, so nearly, but not quite.
i mostly want the WoG to help deal with ganks. dealing with 2v1/3v1 is really tough to do, and even if i don't 1-shot them i should be able to clean up from there. i do use the dragon chime (finally got it to +5) so it should 1-shot quite a bunch of people anyways.as for the single cast of it, i can use the saint's hood or the hexer's hood because i don't see myself ever needing more than 2 WoGs.

My friend has a faith build and he uses WoG and one shots people for around 2000 damage.

My fashion is the best.
I really think 150 is too high a level, at least until From patches alot in this game. Scaling is bad, adaptability is probably not needed, base damages for everything is way too high. You don't have to meet the requirements for things like spells to still do retarded damage.
It's better to just pump vigor and other stats in my opinion. If you really wanted to you could probably just spice down all your spells. Farming Harvest Valley's Mines nets you 2 simpleton's, a skeptics, 3 humanity, some twinklies and other stuff. Plus Covetous is a relatively easy fight with good souls to gain.

Everything raw/mundane new meta Kappa

That skull looks wicked, I saw it in a video or something. It one shot a phantom in Belfry and then killed the hostin 2. Crazy shit

If you think all of that, and for most part I agree, then you shouldn't think that 150 is too high.
Given that spices can drop from enemies, there's no limit on how many you could acquire, therefore you can just hex edit every spell down to the 10 minimum. Reducing the 'level cap' only hurts those who need absurd stats to get the most they can from their low scaling.
Balancing is the only solution.

I know it sounds silly, but just making END or ADP (or both preferably) increase your magical resistances significantly would go a long way... maybe even just a flat out increase to all armour's/player's magical resistances. Just something to make split damage a bad thing again.
You can already get huge levels physical resistance, even with Fashion Souls... I recently re-jigged a couple of characters to sneak in Havel's Gauntlets and the difference is quite drastic - the more armoured of the two just shrugs off anything that isn't buffed... well, most things. There's no equivalent to that for magic, and even if there is, it doesn't cover all four damage types... You can't just force everyone to use Magic Barrier.

Also, Mundane's a bit shit on most things.

I do believe From is bannning hex editors and mulers now
Eh, I doubt they can do anything about adding items though.
Like I said, you could get them legitimately and as you can play offline there's no way they can prove that you didn't. Mules with 0 Soul Memory (why would somebody want that anyway?) sure, but hey, 'my friend' gave me this Washing Pole so I didn't have to wait until the last fucking area in the game for my build to start like I did with Blue Flame guy. Sue me.

Of course if you wanna hex a couple of Blue Flames and meet me in the car park behind Last Giant then I can get on board with that.

I guess SL 150 is because of a lot of the equipment has some pretty high stat requirements now, and you can't spice those down.

I've just been through Shrine of Amana for the first time since the patch...

What's the point of this area now? The tracking on the mages is so poor they are absolutely no threat anymore. You can walk through this area now, and only ever have to kill the melee guys.

This was my dual-dagger character, who has a Hunter's Blackbow, and these words actually left my mouth: "I'm just gonna stick to my daggers because I can't be bothered going back to Wellager for ammo."... I have a bow and I'm opting to not bother using it for the sake of time!
In the end, I got through the whole area and it's piss-easy boss using a single Estus.

So now it's... well, it's nothing. Instead of being the only memorable area, now it's easier than--I don't know--it just blends in with what the rest of this game is when I think about it... a disappointment.

it's the only place to get the manslayer and helix halberd i guess. i haven't used the manslayer but i've seen plenty of people use it in PvP and i'm kinda interested in using the helix halberd after seeing Mriwont4get's video on it. even though it's easy now i still hate it almost as much as the gutter.

Pre-patch Amana can suck a dick. Nerf maimed it but after playing it through once I'm cool, the water in of itself is just as big a hassle to me.
If there was a rusted iron ring then the Pre-Patch would have been fine. Archdrakes are still fucking assholes.
