I'm thinking about putting together a video of me just casually walking through it ignoring the mages alongside my original recording of my first playthrough. But I am lazy.Shrine of Amana post-patch is a cake walk

I've just figured out why mine does much less damage.My friend has a faith build and he uses WoG and one shots people for around 2000 damage.
what chime were you using? if it was the dragon chime then i genuinely have no idea how to explain that.I've just figured out why mine does much less damage.
Left-handed damage reduction. I always left-hand anything ranged.
Edit: ...but I just tested it and I do the same damage in either hand... I guess for whatever reason that doesn't effect spells. So I do wonder why.
Would a lightning infused chime boost the damage?
Spoiler, it's a significantly weak mace with no heavy attack that is terrible at casting any scaling miracles. I'd say it's at least useful for applying Sunlight Blade, but it's probably pretty heavy... I used it for convenience on my Lance/Healer character, but come PvP, I'd switch to the Shadow Dagger... or just a standard Mace if I wanted to use a mace.By quite a noticeable amount.
I've been playing with the Mace of the Insolent, and coming down from a Greatsword, it's nice to have a weapon I can swing more than 3/4 times in one go. Little bit underpowered but I plan on Lightning it up so, we shall see. I wouldn't use it as a primary source of Lightning Spear though, especially when the Dragon Chime is a thing.
I Made A Loli Running Around With Mace. Macing Everything In The Face. It's Great.
i really like playing with the mace of the insolent. the only thing i really hate is that it does lightning AND dark damage so its damage is kinda crap. really wish it was like the blue flame and only did one type of elemental damage, but it can also cast hexes unlike the blue flame so there's that.By quite a noticeable amount.

This is advice I'd hate to receive myself, but you'd be much better off using Black Witch's Staff and any other mace.i really like playing with the mace of the insolent. the only thing i really hate is that it does lightning AND dark damage so its damage is kinda crap. really wish it was like the blue flame and only did one type of elemental damage, but it can also cast hexes unlike the blue flame so there's that.
making a melee hexer at the moment and i've been thinking about dualing the blue flame and MotI. it'll probably be terra-bad but should be interesting i think.

yeah she's a bit easy so i like to do the throne duo and nashy back-to-back to up the ante a bit. i really wanna play around with a new faith weapon, but nothing even comes close to a lightning defender's GS. kinda thinking about using a soul vessel to change my strength-faith guy into a dex-faith to try out the dragonslayer's spear. haven't used it yet, but i assume it's pretty similar (if not a copy) of the one in DS1.Oh I got around to whooping the final boss today. Bit easy isn't it? Not starting NG+ because I wanna do some stuff first, like beat all the enemies regen cycles (Occupy Drangleic) and say hi to the giant dragon again.

I'm on NG+++++ now.
Also I'm loving the grand lance. Especially with the old Leo ring
Hey, there are plenty of options besides greatswords... in fact, I wouldn't rate that class particularly highly at all.Aye but for PvE it's nice to casually swing at Giants with it. I just like having something that isn't a Greatsword, though yeah the damage ain't great, even with the infusement.
I'm unsure why people 2-hand it. The moveset is the same as the 1-handed, and I don't think it does much more damage. I'd prefer to cover it's glaring weakness, it's recovery time, with an off-hand weapon.Good lord man.
I went through hell and high water getting that lance, good moveset? I've seen a couple of people in PVP with it, 2-handing, which seems odd.
