one thing that i've noticed that's either really OP or totally necessary is the phase amulet. the ability to just be invulnerable to almost everything ( pits and lava still kill you) is insane. i've also learned that purple armor is easy mode.

green bouncing balls against bosses are OP too you if you time it correctly, in many situations you can do easy 4 hits + 1 if you have the shovel wave :D

so i just beat NG+ recently. propeller knight's stage wreck me super hard. i already had a tough time with it on NG and in NG+ with so few checkpoints, i eat shit there all the time.

i have yet to try out the streetpass arena since i somehow haven't convinced any friends to get shovel knight yet.
