Leixia Videos & Discussion

Ok after testing it exactly as it was on the vid, Mitsu was screwed.
You can't roll any direction, and there's no time to GI. You MIGHT be able to JG after forward tech, but the window is so small I couldn't get it once. I could block it of course, but with the red gauge, that's also death.

I know that if you juggle with 3B, (ex: FC 3B~3B), doing another 3B makes it a force block. Since the 1st 3B in the video hit Mitsu on the way down he was forced to block(die) or get launched.

I got absolutely destroyed by Kerrigan's Natsu (just like last time I played her), but the rest was quite "ok"-ish. I think I play a little weird sometimes.
? You didn't get destroyed at all. If you'd punished her 1A in the 3rd fight you'd have been in a good position to win.

So far I can only find your matches vs Panto, daG, Kerrigan.

Here you can find some recent offline videos of my Leixia from the tournament last weekend where I finished 2nd.

I wouldn't call that getting destroyed. Not by a long shot. There were multiple points during the match that could have gone either way. (RO in game 3 and a couple of whiffed 66B's in the first game i believe)

Only thing I didn't see (that i took note of) was that there were no guard breaks during any of the games with kerrigan. I saw a couple 3B+K's but other than that,, I didn't see any real heavy hitting moves.

I like to chain heavy attacks together after getting them to respect my frame advantage. (EX: 2B+K ~ 44K ~ 44[A]B, or 2B+K ~ 2B+K etc.)

Of course this only works should your opponent not JG it or evade (Kerrigan seemed to be doing much of the later). Considering you were having some success catching him with 3A+B, I feel you could have benefited from a couple 2B+K's, "Just Kidding"s or some 44K's and then follow them up with step killers like 2A, 3A+B, 3B+K (tricky) etc. or pokes like 6B, 3K, 4K etc.

It's difficult to say what would have helped and what wouldn't have helped considering it was only 4 games, for all I know, he would have JG'd all the heavy attacks and punished the sh*t out of you. Or maybe he would have been so bewildered by the sudden succession of guard break attacks that he would have completely given up XD.

Anywho, those were my $0.02

Weird? Nah. Good defense vs Panto. It looked like his experience vs Leixia was lacking as well.
The Dagotth match was pretty scary, but you ended up clutching it out.

As for Kerrigan, you played much better than you probably feel you did. I wonder if you two play each other a lot because she made some unusual reads. It seemed to mess with your patience a bit early on. I think you might try abusing more 2K after blocking, just to break rhythm. (Waiting through Natsu barrages is a pain in the ass.)

I think WS B from the ground is just a bad idea overall in this matchup. Because she has too many moves that track it. Namely bombs and the flop (8A+B). The meter for CE and GI are much more important, imo. Also, you can Air GI the flop and get your guaranteed damage + mixup.

Thanks for your support and opinions, much appreciated. :)

Kerrigan and I had some casual games the day before, but we haven't played since July(?) or so last year.
She was really on point with her A:6 punishes, it's really hard to break through a Natsu who has that down. And in our casuals she always JG'ed the faints and 2B+K so I didn't bother bringing it up and hoping for the best in the finals.
Natsu's 8A+B is a huge problem for me. It's not even that bad in the final, but in casuals she was really abusing it against me, felt a little helpless here and there - I was not prepared for that move in any way.
And I was too frightened in the end I guess and hesitated too much, I couldn't react to PO A+B and such stuff anymore, but well.

People told me that in general I tend to play less aggressive than I used to earlier, but I think against Natsu it's soo hard to play aggressive with Leixia especially with basic mid-range moves (66K, FC3B) being unsafe.

@GranmasGotGame
Kerrigan is a "she". ;)

@Age_of_Truth
The only video you missed is against Dr.Gore, there are only four videos of my games.

Against Natsu 8A+B I use 33BB in anticipation (i.e. 8wr in anticipation and punish.) But yeah with that, K2 and Hover B, she's good at discouraging Crybaby.

I agree with ZE about 2K. In general, Natsu is not so good at punishing lows.

Hey, anyone want to watch this vid of me getting beat up by Hawkeye at Midland Warfare and tell me what I can do to be less crap?

I mean there's some obvious stuff like "why are you using quake when he's proved he'll just JG it", "learn to react to Natsu bombs" or "stop using 6KK like it's safe" that I already figured out but really, anything helps.

Our match starts around 1:24:30
