Destiny

The game is great but pleaaaase bungie, don't make PVP based around stats and gear. You've always done a great job with balancing in Halo, Crucible was pretty unbalanced from what I was playing... please no.

In multiplayer you had to use the gear your character had found but I believe that damage was maybe (hard to tell since everyone in the beta multiplayer was 5-9) kept even between all. It was just unlocked skills and weapons that were different.

Battle mode isn't unbalanced. You just need more skill in shooting your target or proficiency of what your supposed to be doing. I'm capable of killing 2 people in a gun fight because all my shots are head shots. I've gotten a triple kill with just my rifle one time. They all lined up perfectly & dropped like dominos. They were all trying to shoot at me too, but I don't think you can shoot through your own team mates.
If you noticed in this picture, my two clan mates Live action & Warnado both did very good judging by their K/D. Live Action is a Hunter & Warnado is a Warlock. I'm the Titan of the group. There's not much of an excuse you can make up, honestly. If you failed to do good, it's not your character, I can guarantee you that. It's most likely A: your equipment or B: your proficiency in what you do & gun skills. If it's not you're equipment, then train up on your skills. If it's not your skills, then do some missions to get some better equipment. All classes are great & unique in their own way. My way is winning gun fights head on & defending bases (Titan). Yours may be tech trapping or ambushing (Warlock), or storming a base with a badass handgun (Hunter). I'm pretty sure there's more to learn.

No. The game literally has stats affect your damage, etc. What are you talking about.

I'm talking about you can still be good. Just look what my clan mates did. Their K/D is higher then mine. Which means they probably died only a few times. I died a lot because I'm always charging my enemies, pressuring them.

Having stats affect a competitive PvP is a terrible idea. End of story. They need to do away with that.

Has anything been said or shown that confirms that the stats really do affects your damage output in PvP? I don't mind skills and weapon being different since that's no different than CoD (gaming Gods forgive me for bringing that game up here) when people of a higher level have better perks and weapons. As long as they keep the damage stats out of it I don't really mind.

Could be the reason for me to buy a next gen console. I'm no die hard shooter fan but destiny looks really amazing right now. And i like Halo and Borderlands, both are great games!

Exactly what i did! I preordered an X1 with this (hopefully) great game. I'm not sure about my new gamertag but I will let you know!

Games out in ~3 days, I'm sure all of you heard by now this deal: buy digital last gen (PS3/360) Destiny, get current gen (PS4/XB1) Destiny FREE

http://www.destinythegame.com/digital-upgrade

And yes once you "upgrade" to PS4/XB1 version, you can still go back and play on the Ps3/360 version and your stats/gear will transfer. It's tied to your account. Of course single platform only (PS4 <-> PS3, XB1 <-> 360).

Sooooooooo.........anyone else horribly disappointed? I mean Activision spends $500 million on a 8 hour beauty pagent with no plot and dialoge that makes barely any sense. Don't get me wrong the gameplay is addicting and as much as I hate the game I keep wanting to go back and get more gear and lvl up and all that. But it is just so bare bones and it's a grind fest. Not to mention the loot drops make absolutely no sense whatsoever. It's based on the number of enemies killed rather than the lvl of the enemy. So killing 20 little dudes gets you more gear than killing the final boss in the game 3 times. It's not making much sense.

It's a MMO based shooter trying to be too much. Still a good game. 8/10.

This facepalm inducer should give you a few laughs-

Finally got my first exotic gun. (Pocket Infinity) One of the requirements from the bounty for it was to dismantle 10 fusion rifles of rare quality or greater. In the three days after I got it I only found one, and I got the rest when I got lucky and the Gunsmith happened to have blue FRs for sale. I blew most of my wallet getting the other nine of those. Then after about an hour of grind killing enemies in Nightmare mode to charge the core (was running solo just for the kills, I did manage to make it to the boss one time and get his health halfway down before buying the farm myself) I finally got the gun. Freaking headache to get these things. And then the upgrades for them take 3-4 bounties just to fill one circle. Bungie definitely wants us to hold on for the long haul in this game considering how long it takes to do stuff.

The full game is disappointing, not bad, just doesn't live up to the hype that was brought with it. Too many people bought into the fact that bungie made it meant it was going to be something special, myself included. Now let's all go back to Halo.

To me the fact of not having 3rd person camera was game-killing for me, is a design decission I can't understand especially considering that some classes and missions and cities put you in 3rd person.
