Quinion's Customs House

All of these DC works are great, but that Harley Quinn is really something special. I think it's cool how differently we approached that character in CaS. Also, spectacular work with Raven's dress.

Harley is one of those characters that can be interpreted in a lot of ways; just look at how varied she is from the cartoon to Injustice to the Arkham series. After yours , I wanted to make mine as different as possible and still recognizable; result is probably half mine, half not yours.

As for the rest, I'm a comics guy from way back, especially DC , but I haven't kept up with anything in years. I always wanted to do some SC interpretations of comics chars, but never really pursued it; the contest was a good excuse to do some.

Still a force to be reckoned with. I can't come up with ideas like those on the fly...

Thanks man....good to see you coming back around after a break.

The BroQuest designs are superb. Fascinating hybrid tropes too. They're somewhat overwrought for my tastes though. Cool take on Robin, and great use for that apron. Nice work on the belt accessories too. I really wouldn't put the cape together with the waistcloth though. Keep up the good work, mate.

I don't know about the other RCas, but man the updated tusken raider is really cool, i can see what you tried to do with the added horns, but would benefit using a bit more R&D to give the tip a rounder look, as on the original (using another angle or another ExEq piece altogether).
Xiba style definitely a good fit as well :)

Just finished watching Season 4 again, so I'm going to make an ASOIAF series, but probably going to avoid anyone from the show. First Rhaegar, pre-hammertime at the Ruby Ford

Yes, yes......black and red derp factor is high, but what're you gonna do? Source material......

Oh god. That is extremely red 'n black. I see you captured every essential characteristic of the source character though, from the dragons to the rubies, so I can't really complain. I'd really like to see a version of Oberyn though. Got that whole viper motif goin' on and stuff.

Hadn't planned to do too many characters from the show, since it's a whole different (but equally good) animal....but since you asked

Oberyn Martell, the Red Viper of Dorne

Couldn't resist giving him a helmet for the lulz......

Varys the Spider (also from the show, but I wanted to take a crack at him)

Headless Zombie, uh, I mean Ser Robert Strong , The Queensguard

Howland Reed

and a Rhaegar redux. The colors were off a little in the previous version, and the rubys on the armor looked a little contrived........

The way you managed to get the cheeks to blend in perfectly on both chubby faced CAS is excellent and prolly required a lot of patience for the position / angle / rotation as well as for the color match.
I really dig varys and strong belwas, though i don't have a clue who he is, let alone what ASOIAF means...

A Song Of Ice And Fire, the George RR Martin book series HBO's Game of Thrones is based on. Thought it would be fun to do a series of CaS on characters from the books; I'm trying to avoid characters from the show (so far), since they have such an identifiable appearance, often not that much like the characters described in the books.

Since there is relatively little "official" art for a lot of the characters (but a ton of fan art), seemed to be a fertile ground for CaS interpretation. Kind of like the Tolkien characters before the movies, there's a lot of room for artistic license. Unlike Tolkien though, the world and setting of the books kind of lends itself to SC......not much variation from typical humans, though with a lot of distinctive characteristics, especially weapons and armor.

Glad you liked Strong Belwas; I didn't know this when I made him, but apparently he's a favorite of @Le_Bello .

Ok, now i get it, thanks for the explanations. I kinda like Game of Thrones, though it has a tendency to overcomplicate especially with all those clan/family names and such.
Isn't Varys the bald eunuch from the show then, i just did not know his names ?
Indeed game of thrones cast of chars is very soulcaliburish...
Why don't you do a Daenarys, that would be my pick out of the whole cast, provided you can find the right face preset etc.
Again, good job :)

Hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooly soap Quinion! That Robin is fantastic but those SOIAF ones are amazing! And yes, Strong Belwas is best Belwas! What a guy :3

Superb job on all of them - Varys is peeeeeerfect! (Another fave of mine :P)
