You're doing great, @Retrotator1. You're getting really skilled at using SpecEq for those zany recreations. If I were to suggest an area of improvement, it would be sticker usage, especially those bump mapped ones, like the pocket sticker, to add clothing layers and detail. All you really gotta do is select a pocket sticker, place-by-axis, set location to entire body (for max size), and wrap it around the torso. Then use some patterns and stuff. You can get alot of interesting new shapes by simply maxing out patterns or stickers. I know you love American retro, but you'll probably get better practice off more Soul Calibur-ish (i.e. medieval, fantasy, etc.) recreations. Here's probably the best place to start: http://8wayrun.com/threads/cas-challenge-broquest.11759/I feel like giving you all a little update about my experience with CaS.
My Strengths:
- I really like experimenting with stickers and special equipment to make new parts of a costume.
My Weaknesses:
- I tend to lack patience in working with detail in general.
- It's difficult for me to come up with original ideas from scratch.
What I decided to do about the game's 50 character slot limit was to always take formula pictures of the characters that I delete for more space. I think it's less work than typing out the formula for a character. At first, I just tried using multiple saves, but it was difficult to work with in some ways. With multiple saves, It felt like too much work to search through several saves looking for a specific character. When I kept formula pictures of the characters, I made a folder for each character on a flash drive. This made my past creations easy to find and remake compared to starting all over with a creation.
I used to be afraid of hard precision work with SC5 Creations, because I used to think that it would be too hard to make the characters again once I ran out of character slots. Now that I keep more formula pictures, I don't mind using special equipment with more precision.
it feels good to go online and people with mics applaud in amazement when I bring out popular homage creations that no one has done before.
I had a feeling that would be the reason. I'm trying to recreate the Harley Quinn bodysuit, like in this video:The bottom half of the spectrum is cut off for certain pieces so you can't make naked people. It stopped no-one.
These are very nicely made. Jojo's got some amazing artwork. Apparently the creator even collaborated with Gucci at some point.Hi! This is my first post but im watching over this forum from last sunday because i returned to SCV because of my girlfriend. I love creating characters in general but the thing i like most is recreating characters from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, my favourite manga. I have the xbox 360 version so i cant take screenshots (Namco f u). Here i leave a pic of characters from Jojo's manga.View attachment 44416
(From the pic Jotaro Part 4 -> Diego Brando -> DIO Unleashed -> Caesar Anime
mini: Dio Brando Anime -> Okuyasu) (Currently 25 of my 50 character slots are from Jojo's)
The only DLC i have is the school uniform pack.
Yeah , i love the evolution of Araki's art style, and yeah , he made some illustrations for Gucci shops, a couple of cover for a fashion magazine i think and even two one shots with Jojo's Characters about Gucci. These are very nicely made. Jojo's got some amazing artwork. Apparently the creator even collaborated with Gucci at some point.
