You don't think Emily rips off gunslinger girl too much though? (from the start of her character with Matthew I was thinking, "okay, how to avoid that comparison...")

i don't think so. the closest comparison would be to Rico from the third or fourth episode but since Emily's state of mind is completely different then she stands aside from gunslinger girl. Emily is her own character so you're good in that area. :)

regarding the comment about fanfic-ing our on fiction, i actually thought about doing that for my characters in another story i'm working on. i was thinking bringing them away from the story and doing a documentary/interview. sort of like the story is a movie based on their real life and events that happened and this is how they are in their everyday life, what do they think of this person, etc.

Just that both GG, Emily, and Kayla have similar loyalty issues. GG to their handlers, Emily to Matthew and the picture of her sister, and Kayla whoever she calls 'friend.' ("Your going to play with me, and only me..."), maybe we're all really good at writing creepy children XD

That is the best way to learn your character.

i like Emily. I like the whole team thing her and her father have going. but not because it's like GG but because it's your story. I like Kayla because she's my first creepy child character i've included in an official story. there are several more tracks to the Soundtrack of the story but the artwork on them gives away what's going to happen so i'll have to wait on posting them.

Change the artwork then? Speaking of which, did you take those shots yourself? or photoshop them from different things? or what.

there photo-shopped and borrowed. the color in one i haven't shown yet is photoshopped. the eerie ghost like one was also colored. another one is straight up borrowed. i don't know people here to do photos like that to be edited but i plan on doing it sometime. i would like to get my own originals up instead of borrowing and tweaking. and the next chapter or two will come with the next track so it's cool.

Ah, they're still good though, very fitting for whats going on.

Must admit, I've been listening to the music after-the-fact. Not really listening to it with the story, per-say, Nothing against you at all. But its the same thing with movies, "it's better in my head."

The tracks are awesome, but it is like this with everyone. "How I see the atmosphere and world will be vastly different from how you see it." not trying to be mean, but thats the great thing about reading, To each their own interpretation.

P.S. are you able to pick up on why Emily kills anyone who looks like her sister?

i don't mind the thing with the music. it's a soundtrack to a book so it makes sense that not everyone is going to feel how i feel when i made the tracks. and i haven't picked up exactly why Emily kills people that look at her sister yet. will have to wait to see until it's a little more explained. but i listen to the tracks while writing sometimes. reminds me of the theme of the story to keep me on track.

I'm still wondering why Kayla is killing damn near everyone she comes into contact with. And why she only started to kill after she was put in that hospital. Is this ever explained?

oh yeah. actually. her past is slowly revealed as the story goes on. in the coming chapters there is a big key plot that happens. so that should be a little bit of an answer.

It does feel like your setting up for something big to happen, but I think I may be lost when it gets there. I'll re-read, see if I missed anything important.

Which is highly likely. We both like to drop verrrry subtle hints as to what is going on.

We are both very much 'serializing' our stories. :P

Also, need to re-write Emily later, or at least add a scene to convey how loyal and 'in love' she is with Matthew. Suggestions?

maybe have Emily form a bond with something and then Matthew has her do something that involves destroying it or something.

not exactly at the moment because i'm farther along then what i have posted up. so when i get to the point where you're caught up then i'll ask.

Maybe I'll forget about the antagonist, write a little light-heated stuff on Cassandra and Petter some more, he doesn't come into play just yet. He can wait...

Out of curiosity, how old would you say Cassandra is?
