You have a handheld system? Nice! Can you elaborate on anything that the Gameimformer issue didn't have? (How good is the story?!) Just had an article preview games for the PS3. Flipping through the mag, noticed the art style of the screenshot then read 'Studio Ghibli.' I love their films!
Lets just say the animation, story and music are constantly at high levels to keep you excited. That book you get with the game is pretty darn thick (yeah, you need to flip through it for spells).
Never played the DS version, nor never heard about it until now.
I just want to know one thing, my personal excitement for the game, and reading your comments on the story, and the fact its a Ghibli-Lvl 5 project, will my hype be justified?
You got Level 5, famous for the excellent Professor Layton series. You got Studio Ghbli - legendary Japanese animation studio. You combine the two, what do you get?
Oh I could so make an erection joke. Ruin the moment though.
Never played any of Level 5's other games. Don't think less of me though, a few weeks ago I picked up Valkyria Chronicles and Resonance of Fate and have gotten more in to foreign games as a whole (and the result of a desperate search to find games with an actual story!!). And the release of Modern Battlefield Shooter 3 made me wholly sad.
Wells, I've since given my copy of the game to my friend. Fragile Dreams in summary is you playing as a boy in post apocalyptic Japan trying to find any fellow suvivors, and solve a deep mystery in the process. The environments are beautiful (take a look at the skybox and you'll see what I mean), story is decent, but gameplay is clunky, which is a letdown.
