Uh no. SC4 Sieg was awesome and interesting to play - this new mitsu is just horrible dull and broken. Let me quote belial here: "Hardcore Mitsu? Are you serious? This char is dumb as fuck, a massive nerf is needed before it can be played with at least the slightest amount of intelligence put into it."
Same here, I would love SCV Sieg if he had his stance A+B moves. He would also get much more damage on his wall combos. Just imagine the potential. I always think of stuff like this. 3(B), SCH kBE, iagA, W!, 3(B), SCH A+B, W!, 3(B), SCH A+B. I want to do shit like that so bad! I think that would actually work in SCV. Lol
Well if there was one thing I had to miss besides stance A+B it would be the old 6K. It was nice for getting people out of my face. I wish I could upload my play so I could ask for suggestions.
Oh yes this one really hurts, especially with all the changes for SC5. Its so much faster and you have to deal with a lot of pressure. His old 6K would really help him in his bad matchups against all of that TC moves. He really could use a fast mid interrupt...
Yes i think sieg is really good and i don't want to get salty and all but sometimes i can't help but comparing him to NM.
Compared to the rest of the cast, his NH damage is "only" around average to above average but for a char that is just as slow and unsafe as NM, it seems odd that he isn't on par with the heavy hitters of the cast.
That being said, i noticed that, when i land a hit its mostly a CH so maybe it doesn't matter as much that his NH damage is rather low.
He also gets some good damage with meter. Oddly its kinda good that his CE is so bad because that way i always have some meter to spend on combos.
All true. Also I don't care if you get salty. I was pretty salty this morning, the whiffing was getting to my head... I'm either waiting for the next patch (whenever that is) or find a new main. That's just what I think sometimes after fighting Cervantes and a good Natsu.
Hmm another main is not really a topic for me. Been playing sieg since SC2 and he just clicks with me. I pay attention to being able to play all chars (for MU knowledge) but i always was at my best with sieg. Actually i think the natsu MU feels a lot better since 1.02.
I had A LOT of trouble against natsus in 1.01 but after the patch it feels quite ok.
Well cervy is another topic. He is top tier and i am pretty sure he gives a lot of chars trouble, not just sieg.
I'm still trying to decide on a sub. In SCIV Sieg was really the only one that clicked with me. It's been the same with SCV so far too. I started with SCIV. I had played SCII but not enough to get into it. I would play Mitsu if he was toned down and wasn't so *slams face into controller and wins* Lol
Well mitsu is probably the smartest choice you could make for a sub. He is very strong, doesn't has bad MU's and is easy to learn, so he won't consume much of you training time.
Earlier in the game, i had some thoughts on subing another char as well. I thought about NM, which a lot of former sieg players are going for since he is quite similar but then again, since they have equal traits their bad MU's are rather similar to a certain degree, so he wouldn't be a useful sub.
Yeah I subbed NM for a short while too. Then wondered what the point was. So I'm probably going to sub Mitsu so if all goes wrong I can pull out a pocket Mitsu. With the being said with NM I love A+B'ing everything Viola does. Lol
Yes that A+B is awesome, kind of like a free get out of my face ticket against some chars.
According to my player license, edgemaster is my sub lol. I pull him out against weaker opponents, so its a bit fairer...and also to avoid getting kicked xD
I just pick Sieg nearly every time and when I get kicked I send the host a GG message. Being the person that I am, them getting salty is one of the funniest things that can happen in SCV besides insane glitches in offline casuals. The main reason I even got XBL was to troll people online or help them if they actually wanted to learn. I also get some good MU knowledge from online play.
It also helps because my offline scene is small and I don't get much offline experience versus many characters. I beat everyone in my offline scene by a mile except the Natsu player and the Algol player who beats me nearly every time (WhoDat)
At least you have a local scene :(
My local scene is nonexistent, so i only have online experience. But at least SCV's netcode is awesome and i get to train with some of the best players.
It's cool but at the same time it sucks because only 3 of us are good and there are only like 8 total... You're lucky you have a PS3, it's much easier to access players there. I'm stuck with Xbox where it's mostly salty people that think flapjacking people when they tech is cheap...
Hmm i cant say much about the XBL community but i believe dumb people are everywhere. My advice would be to stop playing against random online dudes and just play in player matches against good players on your friend list.
I need more friends on XBL. I can usually get some good matches in. Lol unless it's Pyro pummeling me, then it's just me attempting safefried and still losing. Lol
Its the same with me and slayer. Shit is not funny :D
I am kinda lucky that the GerCalibur community is rather small, so i have a good chunk of the best german tournament players in my friendlist.
