No seriously i just know how to play against Alpha, especially when you overuse 33B etc...too easy to exploit beeing predictable with 33B. You should just play me more, you cant play standard Alpha against me/Cervantes.
Sadly, I can't play you as often as I would like. Were I back home, I'd play you every night if I could, but my university internet gives me a 0 bar connection with UK players, nevermind Germany. =(
I'm pleased with my progress though, for 3 months experience with this style of play in general something would be up if I was beating a Setsuka player with your reputation, lol. (I should've learned Mitsu - counterpicks everything XD)
You suggested I play a 'standard' Alpha, as you and Maxou are both infinitely more experienced than me with the general style, what should I be looking at to improve my game? I was pleased with how I did against Maxou, but I want to get better. What would you advise?
Well you just dont have any clue on how to play against Cervantes, just like Maxou in the beginning. Its a matchup that requires you to play different.
Standard Alpha is abusing retarded 33B Frames, which allows you to 33B on block into 33B etc. Against Cervantes you should never attack on disadvantage unless you have a really good read and you should never step on 1AB range on disadvantage.
You need to stop that long range 33B attempts, you will not hit me, so stop trying. There is no reason for me to get hit, since you dont have any tools to stop me from stepping on that range. Maybe try some 8A+BA's instead.
You will have more success on hitting me with 33B/2363B on midrange, close range when i try to get out of your face. Not dying against Alpha is 80% about not getting thrown, so you really need to throw more to give me ANY reason to duck, backstep etc. You dont throw enough, enjoy your completely broken throw game as long as it doesnt get nerfed.
So less 33B on max range, more throws. Dont step on disadv, dont step on close range. Dont attack on disadvantage. Dont backstep when i have BE. Thats already enough, less stupid decisions, more patience, a bit more passive. 33B to whiffpunish, to catch backstep, not to spam on ranges where i will step it all the time.
Shinjin plays Cervy now, but he's in London, so not regularly. =/
Silent Joel also plays him, but I think he's EXTREMELY overrated. Not much you can learn from 3B/throw/aB only, lol.
Instead of talking behind my back you little shit, how about you address me directly? Well done on mention 3 moves I don't use enough btw. (Apologies Doc for having to post that on your wall)
Rated? You're the biggest joke in the scene. The main reason I don't take a lot of players down your way seriously is because they consider you pretty good.
