I always enjoyed listening to James Chen and Seth Killian commentating Street Fighter. They strike a nice balance between technical know how and conversational discourse.

yh I love James Chen and Seth Killian also...they know exactly what they're talking about and convey that through their streams at EVO.
But my absolute fav has to be Maximilian, he knows to entertaining and has a rare talent of getting his hype through the streams to other people
thing is they usually have someone to commentate with...I'm on my own

I'll try and upload a couple soon...tried to some last night...only to find out I didn't configure my laptops mic to pick up audio...which might be another thing to invest in XD

Ooh Cool man. Get those links up. I've always thought that decent commentary is the key to making e-sports interesting to the general. Fuck, golf is boring as fuck to watch, but people watch because of the commentary; same with any sport really.

I'll keep trying in the hopes that I'll get better and be able to provide good commentary.

Yeah anyone can commentate. Just share the mic if other people want to jump on. I have no tips for commentary, I never do it and I suck at it anyways. But yeah commentating with someone you know is a good start.

sweet, I'm no commentator hog...I'd be glad to share the mic...I'm not exactly good at solo commentary...or commentary in general atm

When I did my first commentary, I too, was focused on the gameplay more.

I suppose just like with anything else, practice makes perfect.

Commentating is my spot. You have to fight me IRL for it, soz

But you are normally too busy trolling peeps into thinking they could "win"

@bushindu it's not that I'm so much worried about it, it's more that it's difficult to commentate solo and play at the same, much like how LockdownZ says, when playing you're more focused on the game itself to divert your attention to anything else.

We need to start the Solo 1pm, and I doubt the Laptop will be there by then. I have no idea how it works, but if all you need is a Laptop I'll ask if we can bring our own.
