I agree with both of you. Regardless we shouldn't have to show a person multiple times that we won't get caught by a frame trap that's being overused.

Even without the BE it's a free sidestep/JG. There's never much of a reason to throw it out instead of 2363B. People just like the white flash, I think.

I don't see a reason to use it over twister in that situation.

Or FC 3A+B, against bigger whiffs.

Easier input than twister. Has decent back evasion. That's just one example, but generally you'd be punishing counterpokes 2As/2Ks with it.

That's what I'm talking about. That frame trap is the exact one that's overused and will get you smacked every time against someone that has half a brain. Btw, Twister isn't much of a better option. You can JG with the exact same timing and you only have to tap G once. Either way, you're getting smacked.

This is why I love the players that instead use 1BB or 33B. 1BB isn't as punishable and 33B tech crouches. Best part about these 2 options, they're nowhere near as easy to JG and both can open into 2143BB~BE combo. Just throw out another attack and if it connects; Boom, you got your 2143BB~BE. If not, oh well. At least your opponent isn't smacking you. Well, at least not as hard anyway.

i haven't play in a looong time, but isn't 1BB just as easy to JG as 2143BB? all i really remember about playing against A.Pat is to pretty much wait for them to do stuff and react to it. like sidestepping 33B, punishing twisters hard, JG/GI, etc

Raywarlord - Would you really try to JG it after being low kicked 4 times? You're gonna try something else, and that's when Alpha mixes it up... It's not like FC 3B:B is a bad move. Predictability is what's bad
