First, I just watched your first video. Just letting you know.
I want to congratulate you on stepping a Mitsu move that's actually supposed to track in that first round. You should probably practice counter hit confirming on your 6BB's and BB's since you missed some and were punished for...
The fact that it is a weapon based 3D fighter, and that it uses specific buttons for horizontal and vertical moves. Both of those make it extremely easy to determine what moves have what properties and makes it simple to pick a character to play. You wouldn't pick a character with a thin rapier...
My favorite thing about that one vs Astaroth is your ability to break grabs. I wish I was that good at it!
Edit: After watching all of your videos, you do a good job! I feel like you should work on your spacing some though, especially in the Natsu match up.
I really like your use of the...
22B combos into 2A. Just make sure you don't have a wall near you if you do that, because 3A would have been the better choice.
Edit: Though, I wouldn't really consider 2A a poke...
1K should be used when you're anticipating a step from your opponent after they have a frame disadvantage, like if a Pyrrha uses a blocked BB in an attempt to bait a vertical whiff. 22K does a similar thing with more reward, but it's too slow to use like 1K. It's actually a pretty good move. You...
WR B has the benefit of being unsteppable and uninterruptable after a 2A hit (so does 2A itself, but it has less range). I think it catches back step too. Your opponent is forced to block it.
I would like to see a few things:
1. Make a story mode somewhat similar to DOA5, in that it slowly teaches people about gameplay mechanics. The difference would be to make it so that your CaS goes through the mode instead of Patroklos or whoever. This would promote better gameplay amongst the...
Okay, so then...tiers are basically a chart of who has the highest margin of error? Viola is high tier because she has a great margin of error, and Raphael is low tier because of his small margin of error (I could believe this, as a Raph main)?
What you seem to imply from your statements, is...
I meant high level players, not the community.
Then here's my followup: does that mean that at high level play, the character you main is the largest deciding factor?
For example, is LostProvidence only able to beat Heaton's Siegfried if he were to from Viola? (This is purely hypothetical...
Here's my question: have we reached a point where the character difference has been a significant factor in the games? That is to say, as a community do we have players that are so good that their characters almost define their results?
Sometimes I accidentally pull out a A+B (like when it whiffs as a combo finisher) and try to fool the opponent into thinking the full A+BA is coming out. You can get good advantage with this when they try to block it. Of course, I was probably facing crappy opponents when it worked, and any TJ...
Zanaken, is it at all possible for you to put up a few videos of your gameplay? I'm totally not trying to call you out or anything; I'm genuinely curious as to how you play and would love to see it in action. Even a smartphone video recorder would be appreciated.
Also, are you going to NEC?
I'm not saying it's a bad option. I use it sometimes after 44A(B). I'm only saying it probably won't track after a hit. Somebody made a chart on what moves on hit or block allowed Prep K to track. I can't remember where, but I found it pretty accurate.
