Actually, you're right, it was just a mix of Japanese for Asian characters and English for the rest of the cast. What I had in mind was "characters speaking o so different languages can understand each other perfectly" ^^

Hopefully not. It was the case in Soul Blade/Soul Edge, but the way Tekken does it is ridiculous: everybody speaks every language (or at least well enough to understand each other), they should have better ambitions than slapping each other across the globe.
