I'm really sorry but I couldn't resist spamming.

Can we call you "Aussies" then?
  7. CNP [09] Warrior

Wassup GK. So I think it's only me and you that play in Austin and post on these forums. I tried contacting the OP of this thread but he was kinda flaky. Sucks for Austin. There are good players in San Antonio and Dallas though.

    Hehe. That was pretty corny.

WTF? Someone else in Austin plays SCIV? No way...

What's up man! I think I saw you on the SA tourney thread. We should get some games in before that, if you're going. I'm still 50/50 on going right now. What part of Austin you at?

Yezzir, I know exactly what you mean, everyone one I know here either plays CoD or WoW. But ya Ive pretty recently decided to start gunning at the offline scene and am hoping to go to the San Antonio tourny, I just gotta make sure theres no wrestling tournament that day.

And you must be the same CNP of the Xplay finals, pretty badass I must say.

I'd definitely be down for some matches tho, get some legitimate offline experience in. I live in Oak Hill, by 290 and 71, what about you?

I used to live in austin. Roundrock to be precise.

    Do I count?

Uh. Depends. Where you live now, and can you make to a gathering?

Cool, Rajinn. Yeah that dork was me. lol I live way up north near Lakeline mall, but I work way down south on 71 and Riverside. So yeah, either a Sunday or someday after work would be cool.

I've only got a 360, but I do have my own PS3 controller. So whatever you prefer: coming up to me to play on the 360 or me coming to you to play on your PS3.

Btw, wrestling? You still in highschool or college?

Yeap, Im still kinda young, only in highschool, which also means that you coming to my place could get odd, you know when my parents ask me who this random guy is here playing video games with me.

Fortunately I can drive though, so sometime or another I could probably come down there or if we could figure out some kind of central location we can meet, like at some game store (probably other than gamestop, but some small private owned one like gameover games.) or some lan place that tends to have extra consoles. Idk, what about Kal? The one who started all this, maybe he can supply us with a good meeting place.

    Kal?
  14. CNP [09] Warrior

[Austin, Texas] Please don't call us "Austinit

Agreed. That could be weird. A gamestore or a LAN place would be nice, but I don't know of any where we could set something up.

That Kal dude never posts here anymore. I tried setting something up with him before, but nothing happened and then he disappeared. There's some dude from Houston that said he's moving to Austin soon. And apparently he knows other guys from the old SC2 days. It'd be nice to get a whole group going in Austin.

Yeah that'd be great if we could get a group going. I only know two other people in Austin who ones this. One who's a scrub and is probably bored of this by now, and the other who actually used to be pretty decent and into it but eventually got bored. and he's a smash fanatic to so that doesn't really help things.

If we can get a few more people, I can check out this LAN place called Tek Republic, I think they do a little bit of console gaming, and probably won't mind us bringing in our own games.

-Sigh- If only Cyber Jocks was still around...

Someone actually remembers Cyber Jocks? That place closed ages ago..... it was a really cool place though. I went there twice for some Melee tournaments.

Austin, despite having a large video game scene, doesn't have any good venues it seems.

I host tournaments in a hobby shop (ya know, where they sell cards and dnd books and stuff like that). They have space and already know how to handle lots of people, so there has to be a place like that in Austin to have tournaments.

Yo Rajinn, I confrimed that the dude from Houston is now in Austin and is also up for some games. I want to try to get some games in this week - any night starting tomorrow thru friday or this anytime Sat. When's best for you? I think we can meet at his place, but if not I can accomodate.

I'm still working it out with him also. He's on the other forums unfortunately.
  18. CNP [09] Warrior

[Austin, Texas] Please don't call us "Austinit

You shoulda came out Rajinn. They were both cool, and we got some good games in. They're actually pretty funny dudes.

We're probably not as good as you think we are. And if we are, well here's your chance to get better. I'll let you know the next time we meet up. We also ended up not playing for money.

I guess if you're not used to coming up north it seems like a pretty long drive. But I make the commute north to south and back everyday for work, so I'm used to it.

    Yaaaa man I wish I could've.

Unfortunately my SC4 runs starting to come to an end, I haven't playn since that last online 8WR tournament.

Also since the San Ant tournaments being postponed I won't be able to make it out cause ill be wrestling up in oho that weekend.

And with Skate 2 coming out later this week, things are just looking really glum.

But idk SCs always been my game I'm sure ill be back soon.
