But Talim's evasion in SC2 was done on purpose. Step G was a glitch that shouldn't have been in the game. I agree, in SC3 and 4, her movement via stance transitions was nerfed to unusablity. If I can try to read PS's mind for a moment, she was meant to be a character with step G type movement without having to step G. That's why I think she could work in this game. She'd fill a niche that no character occupies now that QS4G has been removed. Except, you say Xiba, IDK, I don't play him. (Assuming they would give her back her SC2 mobility).

They'd have to remove 6B+K and keep 4B+K options.

I would love Talim back in SC~ She was one of my secondary characters ( Ivy, Talim, Cassandra) They would have to change a couple of things tho~ Like a persone said above, longer limbs, a mature ( er) face, personality etc. But would she work? I stopped playing Talim when SC3 came out, she was horrible there >.< In my opinion, she always seemed like the type of character you had to be unpredictable with. Mainly because of the fact she did so little damage. In a way she reminds me of Viola. With Viola, you have to make sure you have control of the ground and keep the pressure otherwise it's all over. Same thing with Talim..You have to be flipping here, side-jumping and whatever. If they nerfed her...haha...she would be useless...( wow that sounds harsh :C ) Dont get me wrong I love Talim...But in SC2 only. Btw is it me or she seemed more mature in SC2? In the following games she seemed to get more childish.

You know Namco would've already have that planned out but since they didn't...*sighs* oh well.

Exactly. Take it up with Namco.

    Cla LET'S FIGHTING!

Anyone ever play Last Bronx? (it was Sega's attempt at a weapon fighting game) There was an awesome badass tonfa chick in that game. She had more like a tough girl cop fighting style:

(I apologize for this guy being terrible at this game. Not exactly a whole lot of vids for this game on YouTube)

Anyway, I was hoping to see mature Talim develop more into something like that. But now we may never know due to Namco's impatience. -_-

Never heard of the game until now. I would love to see a mature badass Talim. That'll bring some excitement back into the series.

As long as they don't bring her back as a mimic (glances over at poor kilik), then anything can work. And I miss her evasive fighting style (>T.T)

I agree with you. Talim should not have a gimmick. Poor Kilik, he looks like a luchador with that helmet mask he has on. I was expecting him to come out to Rey Mysterio's theme song and pull off the 619.

This maybe just me but is me or does Yoko's stance seem similar to Talims? and the blonde girl from the first fight seem like cervante's stance? ( in a less manly way :O)

Also the blonde chick kinda reminded me of Lili from tekken o_O

i agree talim was at her best in sc2, but to say it was because of her exploiting the system and 33A is ridiculous. what exactly did she exploit in the system? come on SC2 talim was much more than 33A

33A did EVERYTHING. It was a TJ/TC mid which covered step, rung out, moved forward and was safe on block with pushback. Not sure what to do? 33A. Think the other guy is going to do something? 33A.

I'm going to guess you never played the game at any degree of high level, because everything SC2 was when played correctly was everything non-tournament players think it wasn't. Those "big lush movelists?" Hahaha... try 5 moves per character. That balance? Oh you mean 3 characters were tourney viable. That diversity? I hope you like seeing a lot of 2A, BB and maybe some evasive sidestep launcher... if it's safe.

im going to guess u never played talim. because i dont agree with you, you guess i dont know the game at high lvl. while the move was good 1 move cant define a character. what about her RO game? safe lows? BB with TC frames? 2A that stoped TJ? 1A+B?

Don't be mean, you used to act the same way.

I played some of the best Talim's in the country on the regular. Those moves you listed? Let's go over them.

RO Game:You are partially right. Nobody got RO'd at high level SC2, ever with just about any other character. It was too easy to be safe and cover every option.... with the notable exception of Talim 33A, which covered so much space it had it's own zone of control. Score 1 for 33A.

Safe lows don't mean anything when they don't give you anything but chip damage and no mixup because of Step-G. If you recall in SC2, you could step throws too. You didn't see Kilik winning majors because he had a safe 2K that gave plus frames and TC'd reliably, so this is a non-point.

BB with TC frames. Next to 33A, it's worthless. Why? So you BB to go into a "mixup string or stance" which is step-G able to beat all options AND reactable, using a TC string... or you use 33A to also cover step, also TC and KND without risk of being punished. BB only worked against people who were ignorant of her "Fake mixups" after BB, not high level players.

2A. Well 2A is 2A, and if you had a good one, you were good in SC2. I don't see how that is a point in anyones favor, more like an unpleasant reminder of SC2 sucking. It wasn't "Ivy half screen 2A" but it was pretty good.

1A+B mixed in once in awhile was fine, because the reward was decent. 1A+B to 44B was a nice chunk of damage, but in terms of effectiveness of the evasive launchers of the game, it was no X 22B for sure. You could step-G and block 1A+B at severe disadvantage (lets say, after a 2A or a BB?), and if you are playing against Talim and are throwing out wanton highs anyways, you are already losing... so the relative difference between using this or (again) 33A is moot, unless the person you are playing against is going to do something predictable. If you could really spot the difference in when an X was going to iFC3B or AAB on the regular... you probably weren't playing RTD.

i agree 33A was her best move. ur point seems to be why use anything else, without 33A should would still have her other RO options, it may be harder to land without the fear of 33A but its still there.

cant compare her to kilik, they have different move set, kilik could not do what she could so with +3 while crouching. sure u can step guard to take away some options but there are options to kill ur step guard, like 44k and remain in advantage.

BB is faster than 33A, 1A+B gives more damage than 33A and if i remember correctly had a small step in it as well. post BB stance was not that strong, it was a little better on console as you could cancel the A to WC2.

    2A i kinda agree

i was not saying her 1A+B was the best launcher in the game or even her best move but it was a good move and the damage you could get from it +44b is reason enough to use it in situations where u dont need TJ or a step killer. im not saying i played the best in the world i played with pretty good players considering i was from trinidad and tobago, some older members may remember, Johnny blaze, who was more popular around Sc boards than me. i dont like how 2c2 talim gets simplified into 33A. yoshi had 1A and X had 22B but that was not the only reason they were good.
