These are the moments I treasure amigo. *Kicks up feet, reclines*
shut up! you're so mean. moving on...
how about that game play huh? Huh? only 15% or was it 5% complete? word...
Ya know I didn't hear/remember. Part of me thinks the slower the better, and yet part of me thinks the sooner I get my hands on it the happier I'll be. It's not like devs can ever really plan for all the stuff the public finds in the end. But we do appreciate it when they try don't we?... I'm gonna have to see if I can spot that percentage and get back to you. Either way, seems there's quite a wait ahead eh?
nah, i'd say holiday 2012? wasn't that their goal? they can make that easy. but just for giggles.. this was e3 2005:
and this is using high res.. if we are to assume that kasumi one is also high res (which i believe is not but let's pretend anyway..)
let's compare and contrast shall we? WHO has the better skin shader? FROM 6 YEARS AGO!
yeah it's a lost cause but damn it... defeat stings (not even a defeat since we're saying the same thing but still.. shut down is shut down.).... still, ya gotta admit that Jin looks bad ass.
remember. LIGHTING IS KEY!
but just to compare the two and see how far technology has come... where you're getting this great lighting from an in game engine... that's mind blowing. step up the texture shaders and i'd say by the next generation you'll have fighting games that look as good as a high res CG from 2005... that's something to look forward to.
Might have something to do with DOA's aesthetic you know. But that Jin did look bad-ass. My hat goes off to the modelers and animators.
And then we got that Tekken and it looked something like this and we all went "Hey!"
I'm sure the camera was just too zoomed out to see the sweat.
holiday 2012 you say? Shouldn't be a problem for them. God willing I'm still here to pick it up. (Not that I believe that Mayan Calender nonsense, it's just that bad luck can run into anybody.
it's 15% complete
the screenshots are looking really impressive, but Hitomi has too much forehead in that poster :/
Yeah... Anyone who truly believe that in game would look as good as that hires cg at the time was simply deluding themselves. Hell ttt2 has facial rigs now and their expressions are still crap. And they don't look as good as that trailer. Having said that, you can see their skin pores.... In other words it's getting there. 5 years ago that wasn't possible. Now here we are looking at screenshots and saying we are getting there!
Wow! color me impressed! I was dangerously reminded of FFVII: Advent Children Complete while watching that gameplay, mixed in with some SFIV.
If they start taking DoA seriously as a FIGHTING game and not some softcore pr0n game for teens, this may very well find it's way into my cold gamer hart.
The cliff feature has a QTE event that the one falling off can use to catch on and get back up.
After catching the ledge, the attacking player has the option to either do an attack or a throw while the falling player gets back up. The attacker can decide either, but the falling player only has the options to either block the attack or dodge the throw.
The player had to be knocked into a certain section of the wall in order for it to fall down and it may not happen all the time. Hayashi didn't say if it would be an option that can be toggled on or off.
The holds are a 3 point hold system for weaker holds, and a 4 point "advanced hold" called "expert holds".
Some holds allow for a launching attack, making it easy to follow-up a
juggle. Unclear which type of holds do this but most likely the "expert" holds.
The player can sidestep like the new Soul Calibur 5 but it didn't seem as useful as there were a lot of horizontal attacks.
There will be a tag mode.
The power attacks have a delay if you start up, not much reach, and a very high delay if you whiff.
You can cancel the power attack charge up by side stepping or continue the charge to delay it.
Most of the power attacks strike at mid level.
The power attacks can be blocked, and the attacker is in put into a heavy disadvantage if blocked.
Environment debris can stun you if you're not careful.
I hope the game is decent and has Zack.
I hope he doesn't have green facial hair
what poster? the one at the with the "i'm a fighter" logo is Kasumi. is there another one of Hitmoi?
Scan the previous page. If it doesn't pop up I'm perplexed, might be your browser.
This time, just for you, bright magenta.
It makes him look awesome.
oh i see it now. I love how it looks but i agree with Hitomi's forehead being kinda big in the poster. maybe they'll change it in game. like how Ayane looks older, not that i minded her late teens/early twenties. hopefully in tag she can actually switch out without me fearing her taunting.
The QTE stuff doesn't sound all that bad then. However, not a fan of random shit falling from the sky that I cannot see that can deal damage and stun me.
Excited to see the 3 hold system come back, granted. if Expert Holds are stronger, they'll be mastered.
DOA's Tag mode is so much goddamn fun. Big elaborate combos to walls and up/down slopes. Good times, can't wait to play this one.
That Ayane poster looks like the major from Ghost in the Shell.
whoever wants the kasumi poster in super HQ:
enjoy :* want screenshots of her, leifang and kokoro asap
