and he still sucks as a character, with dj having many natural counters to himI still say the matchup is in Aeon's favour. Your range just isn't good enough if he's played right.

Well, one of our main sources of offense is a tech crouch and advances quite nicely.Explain. Backstep and 66A is all we need. Aeon can backstep out of the range of almost all of your attacks and simply keep you standing there with 66A. Your game only starts once you're up close. If you can't get there you have no game.
Run in? 66A.
Run up and block? Get 66A'd then whiff whatever you do next 'cause backstep.
Wavedash? Lol.
DJ may have counters like speed, damage and pressure, but this one fatal flaw is why Aeon has the advantage.
In ADDITION to the other (admittedly limited) spacing tools he has.
Really? That is stupid.66A is a mid.

Well if you still care, I got it close to down in about a week, but I still missed it way too often. Took probably a little more than two weeks playing about 2 hours each day, not neccesarily practicing but just trying to use.Hey, TheGuy, I wanna know you're awesome for making this thread! As a DJ in training (I'm now officially adding both DJ and 'Patsuka' to my vocabulary), I would like to get a rough time frame of how long it took you to master the EWGF.
Devil Jin will always be playable unless Namco decides they hate him and make a patch to take him out, which won't happen for one because everyone loves devil jin, two, the people who don't don't mean that they should take him out, and three, Namco ain't gonna patch shit!Hello there! Is DJ still playable for those who seek to victory? And may be I don't understand something but I can't find 3 AB BE attack in it's movelist - how I can perform his combos without it? My EWGF is pretty good (8 from 10 attempts is EWGF).
Thanks! Yes I have found this move yesterday and became to try it in combos - really hard combos to execute (probably the most difficult in this game because of EWGF)) but I decide to learn this guy at my best. It's really fun to rape people with unarmed fighter in game where all supposed to fight with weapon!3 AB BE is a hidden move, not on the movelist unfortunately. If you're having trouble doing it, make sure you have meter and you gotta hit the B and BE before the B comes out.
Aeon's 66A is -13 on block, DJ's AAB is i10...basic Aeon tactics won't get you very far against DJOwned.
Yeah. Nothing's harder then trying to do an EWGF in the heat of also hitting your 3 AB BE inputs and then doing them over again. Thanks! After some training I played with Patsuka and Patroklos and I have a question - those guys really love to crouch and TC so what is the best DJ's mid that I can use against them?
I would, but fucking SOMEHOW I lost my hard drive, and all of it's replays and such. On another note I don't have live right now, but I am considering changing that soon, I do love playing online. I main Cervantes right now but I could break out some DJ.TheGuy,
do you have any replays of your games or may be you can recommend some useful links where I can see last DJ's games? I can't find any videos fresh than two years old... May be you can play with me and show some interesting stuff?
AAB doesn't have enough range to punish 66A unless it's blocked with DJ's back to a wall or edge.Aeon's 66A is -13 on block, DJ's AAB is i10...basic Aeon tactics won't get you very far against DJ
I know absolutely fk all about this MU thenAAB doesn't have enough range to punish 66A unless it's blocked with DJ's back to a wall or edge.

DJ's CE is too slow to punish 66A. Unless you meant Aeon punishing AAB. I think Aeon gets 6B BE there. Otherwise, 4B/AA/K/2A or maybe 4K.Think he can only CE punish
