do you use LS or DP option for fightsticks

when you play SC games?

was wondering if it makes any difference in the game. 1st impression is that it makes typing messages way faster, but in game it doesn't seem to affect my inputs in anyway.

When you say fight sticks do you mean an arcade stick? Like which inputs do you solder the wires from the joystick to? DP for sure.

most arcade stick has this slider switch on the top panel somewhere
this slider lets your joystick simulate d-pad, left stick or right stick option in game.
I can't seem to see the difference between choosing dpad or left stick

There is no difference. Its just a feature added to allow arcade sticks to function for games that use the left and right sticks and the d-pad for different controls.

but I do feel some difference when I was navigating through menus in PS3. the LS makes typing and moving around in home menu very wonky, while every thing works just fine in dpad mode. that's why I wonder if this affects gameplay in some way.

The stick is digital. The analog mode is emulating an analog stick. The only reason to set it to analog is if you need to navigate a menu that doesn't support the d pad.
