Sure, it does, if Ivy's and Yoshimitsu's not working styles don't bother you too much.

That's fine with me. I just want a more balanced game with Hwang.

Then you won't be disappointed if you give it a shot. Trust me! This version has one of the best gameplays in the series.

It's tedious but it's not really a difficult task. It took me around an hour or so to get things completed. It works pretty well but you're not really adding extra contents from the Arcade game as much as you are replacing contents in the PS2 game with content from the Arcade Edition. Overall, changing this to Arcade Edition balances gameplay but you can't really use Yoshimitsu and Ivy since they will crash the game and this is probably the main problem that needs to be solved. In exchange however, we get Hwang and Li Long with a more balanced moveset and they are fun characters to play.
If there was a way to explore more into modding the game, it would be nice to get the new character select screen to work.

As for the Yoshimitsu and Ivy problem, a solution I was thinking of is adding their new moveset into another character's moveset(preferably the characters absent in AE) and use Action Replay or Gameshark to swap the new allocated moveset(from one of the bonus characters) to Ivy and Yoshimitsu's old moveset. Since we are allocating their AE moveset into another space, we might not get the error. I haven't tried any of these yet and it's been a while since I modded or played with the OLK files so I'm not too sure about this.

It sounds like a pretty nice idea, but I'd like to check if that error with the space allocation also occurs for the other characters...

Sorry about the delay of this post, but I had put Ivy's style long ago on an extra character (you know, I had replaced many extras fighting styles with the standard ones with the same weapon just to make them playable) and that character also froze the game. I'm sorry, but it looks like your solution wouldn't work.

Just curious but is there any vids of AE working on the PS2 on YT?

Does the AE Character Select screen work on PS2? I've been curious to see what it looks like, but I can't find any pictures.

It doesn't work correctly on PS2, though it's possible to port it over. And here it is.
  11. Ian [06] Combatant

Alright, thank you. If you could post a tutorial on how to port it at some point, unless it's the same as the other methods, that would be great :).
  12. C.AntonioFalcon [04] Fighter

Well, the way to port it is already described on the first post. But as I told you before, it won't work very well. The characters thumbnails don't match with the character you're going to choose.
  13. Ian [06] Combatant

Ah, I see. Thanks then anyhow. Keep up the awesome work.
  14. C.AntonioFalcon [04] Fighter

Welcome! I really hope there's something else to find out.
  15. Ian [06] Combatant

I've probably already mentioned this before, but I'd love to see the ability to import and use custom models/characters/movesets at some point, but I doubt it will get that far seeing as you seem to be the only person really working on it.
  16. C.AntonioFalcon [04] Fighter

I've never really been into custom stuff, unfortunately, but who knows...
  17. Ian [06] Combatant

Has there been any work on this project? I'd love to hear about it!
  18. C.AntonioFalcon [04] Fighter

I have no idea. I know that the guys at site that made the OLK Explorer (Ninjahacker.net) couldn't go on with the project because Tecmo didn't like how they were modding the DOA games as well and forced them to close the site.
  19. Ian [06] Combatant

    That's unfortunate. It's a shame this project hit a halt :\
