Hello there. You may have stumbled in here by accident, you may be lost, or you may be in here to see my CaS' , Cass's , Cazzes, Casi (?). I have been making CaS' since SC IV, but I will be (trying) to upload pictures of my SC V Cas. Bare (Bear?) with me though as they aren't very good quality, but with the HD adaptor in the imagination part of your mind, you can make them look very crisp, clean, and even 3D! So, for my first CaS, me. Luke (me) "You can't defeat me. I'm intangible. Just look at my hand." The colours on the coat are supposed to represent my neutral alignment, as red represents Soul Edge, and blue represents Soul Calibur. I know this picture has extremely low quality, but I wanted you to see the blue. My Second CaS: Alpha "Futuristic man of the future!" Yes, I realise I need to get a decent camera :P Atnar A generic Elf, with a generic Elf name. Yes, he does have Arrows, and no he doesn't have a bow. He just throws them at his enemies. Lysander the Icelander This is my attempt at using the Fur Coat, still not quite pleased with it. His name came to me when I started saying cold places in my head, hence Icelander the Lysander. No, wait Lysander the Icelander. Erik Hunter If anyone can think of a better name for a dragonman than Erik, feel free to tell me. Somebody cut his tail off at the tender age of 1028. Pyrall As you can probably tell, I'm terrible at naming. "Talk about brown trousers time." I put this picture up, to emphasise the two tone effect of the coat, which I thought was pretty cool. Vergil(DmC) I don't normally do copies of other characters, however I thought this new Vergil was pretty cool, so I gave it a go. Does anyone else think he has a blue pin stripe suit underneath the coat? Crystal (Sorry!) Ironically, flames are used to create an icicle effect. Yeah, she's an ice witch. Old Tiger I wanted to recreate an Edge Master kinda guy, so I tried to make him look scarred and experienced. You'll never guess where I got the colour scheme from.... I do have a little story, but it won't make sense until I post some of my other CaS characters, so I will post the story as a separate post when I have managed to upload my other CaS characters. I will try and edit this post with my newest characters each time, however, I'm a bit rusty on my forum skills :P Oh, and if anyone has any tips on taking the pictures ( I use my phone :P), they would be greatly, no, Extroadinarily appreciated. Luke.
This, in all entirety. Certainly a promising start, and the blossoming of new talent is always much needed in these parts! I see here an eye for design, certainly for the concepts. The characters themselves are solid groundworks, but some touching up would be wonderful for them. Take Old Tiger for example - He's very cool, but also a bit forgettable at the moment. One suggestion would be to try adding a little fur somewhere, or making his belt-piece a different colour, as it looks awkward being striped alongside the hakama. I'd also suggest some sort of arm equipment, bandages would be the most fitting, and add a bit of detail without cluttering him, and frankly, any detail you can add whilst keeping true to the original intention is usually a good thing. I'd suggest strongly toning down the colours (on almost all the designs) to make them look more realistic. You'll find Tiger would be much more effective looking with muted colours, as they tend to be synonymous with age, which goes hand in hand with wisdom. Generally speaking, brighter colours should be used for younger, less experience characters, or in certain other cases. What level are you on the game/what DLC do you have? It'd help give us an idea of what to suggest for ratings and such. Take Tiger again - Some of Xiba's stuff would look really good on him.
Thanks for the advice guys, it really helps! Unfortunately, I do not have Xbox Live, so my DLC content is zip. In terms of level, I'm level 86, so I have most of the equipment, I think it's just stickers and thumbnail parts left? I'll give a go at editing them, but it will have to be after my holiday, as it's quite difficult taking an Xbox camping :P
Yeah pretty much all the equips I think. I forgot just how much DLC there was, and how good a lot of it is. It's a real shame because I can see you using a lot of those parts really well. And camping eh? Excuses excuses. Everybody knows trees carry an electric current, all you need to do is carve a socket into that bad boy.
Norik and Le_Bello pretty much covered the helpful suggestions. All I'm gonna say is keep on sharing.
