Namco Reveals Nightmare, Raphael and Leixia!

Okay, so technically, we all knew these characters were coming... Nightmare was leaked by Daishi several months ago on his Twitter, Leixia was soft-announced at this year's EVO, and Raphael was pseudo-revealed through some clever detective work dealing with the resumés of musicians.

I myself got a chance to play these characters and more at the closed-door press conference earlier in the week and I will give some short impressions about them, and the game in general tomorrow. There are many more announcements coming during the next few weeks, so keep paying attention!

TBH raphael looks really ugly there probably going to change him...

 

I am pleased.

1) Nightmare: Soul edge returning to a classic look (asymmetrical, organic, giant, sinewy with pulsing veins with a super prominent eye) brought a tear to my eye.
His nightmare's helmet is ranked SC2>SC3>Sc1>Sc4>Sc5 in terms of looks as the SC5 version reminds me of a CAS piece of armor like some sort of super sentai villain.
However, he makes it up by wielding a SC2-type Soul edge, which automatically makes him bad-ass.
His armor looks heavily SC2 inspired, which may be a step-down in terms of intricacy, but I do like the "freshly mutated" look of nightmare, as opposed to SC3's "no coming back" and SC4's "no longer remotely human"

2) Raphael

Leixia looks good, Nightmare and Raph looks TERRIFIC!!!!!

Now I only need a good Cervantes to be happy. His latest costumes were kind of crappy to me.

Looking good. Hate Leixia's hair though. But at least I can now play as one of the Three Musketeers if I pick Raph.
