2 things I disagree:

SC1 at itz time was more than good, it was awesome because it felt very new at that time and revolutionary.

SC3 wasn't at all that great, it was pretty bad. First, it sold less than a million copies and itz only on the PS2. Second, itz not well-balanced.

SC1 Was REVOLUTIONARY...PERIOD!!!

SC2 Was an Improvement. Not as Long Lasting an amazing as SC1, but the Mechanices were there. Very GLitchy, but people still liked it because it was a Defensive Game.

SC3 - GREAT!! GREATEST!!! How can you possibly say this game was bad. This was probably the BEst Soul Cal thus far. Franman you are lost.

SC4 - Great, but still with some minor issues.

SC3 at least had the balls to do something different. If it had an arcade release to balance things before the console release then it probably would have been a very, very good game. Actually, SC3:AE was a pretty fun game.

Jokes aside. Itz not that I hate SC3, I infact I like the game; however, I do feel that SC3 is the worst of all the series thus far. Also back in the old SC forums I see more complaints about this game than any of the series. Not only that SC3 didn't even make it to EVO.

Can someone explain to me what made SC3 so broken and unbalanced? I only played it casually, so I never learned about any of the apparently ridiculous things about it. The only one i'm aware of is X's 33B and 33 being incredibly overpowered.

Let me elaborate; VC is what killed the game. The game itself was good. Fast paced, a little more offensive (since that was the direction that namco was going into) X's 66A+B was overpowered, but not terribly broken.

Now asta's VC ability, lol. Let me explain it like this

Asta actually have 2A+K OR 2B+K throw. In which you can break. However, if you broke the throw, i can VC and get a FREE 4. Bullrush was pretty much unsteppable. His B throw was literally half life. And that was just asta's beefy nonsense. Sisters were good, X was good, Mitsu was upper mid, Zas was hella good (even tho he's only like 5 moves)

soooooo.....it wasn't terribly too bad. Just a few idiots tried to run a national tournamnet and failed us miserably.

It wasn't that bad, better than 2 i think. The exclusive PS2 release says nothing about the quality of the game itself. VC shenanigans aside, i don't particularly remember anything ridiculously broken about the game. It at least wasn't too different from SC4 balance wise. Are you taking SC3:AE into account? Plus, lets also include SC4's original release prior to the patch. You know, the one with Ivy's infinite combo and Algol's ground stun from mid air. Keep in mind SC3 couldn't be patched.

What exactly does VC stand for? I've seen it mentioned before, but I couldn't figure out what it might have meant. Whatever it stands for, it sounds hilariously overpowered.
