Nah, it'll be cool to meet you and the other UK peeps. I just hope I can get the day off work.

Dates feel so 'early' for me. Feb 4th, assuming I was coming, I'll be having less than 24 hrs practice.

It feels exciting but at the same time the dates really turn me off. '...the search for UK's top SCV player'...ok we'll see what happens in 2 years time...

    fml...

    p.s. working on saturday...

Sounds nice, have fun. I'll try to watch the stream, but I don't think I will really follow it since I'm gonna play the game myself then. :P
  4. Synraii
That's the point of a release day event, lol.
    Have to start somewhere.
  5. Relius
I wish it was in Manchester.. I'd be able to go.. Have fun anyway, anyone who is going..
  6. Synraii
Manchester to london is £25 on the train. That's not an excuse
  7. SomeRandmFreak
The good thing for me is that i can practice for several hours on release day. I'm still gonna get my arse kicked on the Saturday though. :p
  8. Synraii
I'm gonna pick up SCV, practice all day, do an all-nighter, then sleep on the train to London, lol.

Thank you Malice for the topic!

I'm very happy to come for the UK Soul Calibur V launch event, and I can't wait to play with English players!
The UK Namco Bandai new community manager Hollie is working hard to make events and hype around SC and Tekken. So coming at this event and joining the community is s a nice way to cheer Namco's intentions to be close to its community and to have more events around our favourite game.

I will myself organize events in Paris every month, so does the Gnouz Corporation with french tournaments.
I hope every country will be hyped for SC !

See you there in London the 4th February !

    No need... 3B!

BTW, JUKEing ain't gonna work on me son! :P
  11. Synraii
Whoever said I'd be using Siegfried?
  12. Tsubasa28
    Asian intuition... :P
  13. Synraii
Your new meme is wrong then =).
There's a couple of characters I plan on using if I'm happy they're good enough, but neither are Siegfried.

I'm going to come along to this for sure.

On the Ryan point I don't see him going beyond SF4 or Tekken, but if he does give SCV a go then great. Don't forget he is sponsored by Madcatz who will also be there I beleive. He is also the best known fighting game player in the UK, so having him associated with a game won't hurt. Maybe his sponsors want him to rinse the game and win the UK championships!
  15. garjian
    I could probably go...
I don't think I'll be winning with viola in a day though heh...

I've never heard of him >.> not even a vague memory of any connection between fighting games and the name "Ryan"...

edit: on second thought, its gonna cost me over £60 to get down there. As much as I'd love to meet some UK players, there's just as much chance, if not more, that I'd not get on with them, like every person I've ever met via fighting games. (for some reason, people from fighting game communities really tend to not like me, I have no idea why >.>) such risk is not worth that much money and hassle, and I think I'd prefer to just stay hone and play some online or something.
  16. Tsubasa28
    Yep, good idea...
  17. garjian
what's that supposed to mean!? :/
    also, home*
  18. Synraii
Its supposed to mean that you are the kind of player that caused the UK scene to die in the first place.
I'm paying close to £100 to be here + money matches + the £55 I owe AoT.

This is the most important British Soul Calibur event in years and you see £60 as TOO MUCH?! Are you taking the piss?!

Get some dedication or don't associate yourself with the community.

Also you can keep up with all things SCV UK on Twitter @SoulCalibur_uk

It's old 2kb too, which kills SC4's imo... and Relic :P

If you order from shopto.net you will get it early. I've gotten all my orders from them 2 days earlier.

Fair enough, try and make the next one though. Dunno why Synraii's being so hard on you? But if you don't make events don't expect to be taken seriously on here.
  20. Tsubasa28
Yeah, traits of an online ditherer I'll say...
