I'm sorry if it sounds harsh, but I will NOT see the scene die because of laziness - it took to long to pick up the pieces from the last one.

Da fuck? How many tournaments have you shown up to? One. And how many have you won? One... er... hmm... the point is... um...

    HAHAHA
And who did he beat to win it? =P

There is no point bud... If you read his post carefully, it was utter chaff and indecision. Ultimately, he answered his own question with "such risk is not worth that much money and hassle, and I think I'd prefer to just stay home and play some online or something."

And the correlation between that and me attending tournaments is?

I've always stated that tournaments have never been important to me, so I gauge my ability through offline sessions which you have mostly attended.

Why this is an issue is beyond me.
  5. Age_of_Truth
Nah it was a joke on my part that backfired it seems. It was meant to point out that you didn't show up to many tournaments, but in the end it didn't matter cos you showed up to one and still won it. I was just joking.

People can come if they want to come. If they don't, it's not the end of the world. Obviously we'd rather have more players attend, cos it'd be more social and more fun. Also any players who do come are more likely to come again cos of how fun these events were.

Everyone relax. Offline sessions are fun!

    Whoops! :P

Anyway, we need fresh blood to rob A_o_T of his potential beer money.
Stand up and be counted folks!

    Yes.
Why should i be expected to do so?
I should want to go, and i dont, because of this type of attitude.

Now, all i can picture is me arriving, and just being growled at: "Yeah, you better be here, thats right... its your duty to be here. grr grr grr" ...but then i remember that everyone would just ignore me, because nobody here knows me... (but then i remember i have awesome hair, so somebody would probably say something...)

this is exactly what im talking about :/
and whats that supposed to mean?
what is so bad about playing a game online because nothing happens in your area?

I used to have friends i would play offline with, and we all sucked. how is that better than now, where im a player with relative skill, because of online?
I take it im also a bad UMvC3 player because shit-all happens around here too?

But no, perhaps Ill just quit fighting games altogether then, lest i perceived as some pathetic online spammer unless i travel 93,000 fucking miles to meet some people i hate. Its not like people can crowd-source information, strategies and generally how to use and defend against each character from the entire planet online, and in turn, use and adapt that information to make them into good players. no.

I mentioned earlier (actually, it was in Hate Speech) that id not be liked based on the fact that im, so far, an online-only, custom-character-enthusiatic, amy-maining, rush-down-centric player. and pretty much everytime i come on here its constantly being reinforced.
Why would i want to come to any events with all this passive complaining about everything i actually do do on Soulcalibur?

Perhaps it will die due to a lack of people skills this time.
Youve certainly done a real good job of pushing somebody on the borderline so far away.

Didn't really understand your post, but you're always welcome to any events and our small community is very friendly in general. Regardless if you're casual or hardcore player, playing people offline is the best for any type of fan.
Also where do you live? There's quite a few SC players up North.

Man, it's too easy to play victim.

It's not like the event will be filled with 200 8 headed hydras (like Synraii,) all waiting to ignore you.

Stay online, it's way safer there! :P

    Ignore? Bollocks =P

Any online player who shows up immediately gets my respect regardless of what they say on the internet and you know it.
Also, I am friendly to everyone offline even if they suck - have you ever seen me be a dick in person to anyone?
  11. Tsubasa28
Keep your blouse on you 8 headed hydra you! :P

50p on garjian not turning up.

    Alarm bells*

My asian intuition won't allow me to (possible GA meeting required.) :P
  14. garjian
    much better ^^

I like playing a victim :/ ...its fun and look at all the typing I did, I actually get to say something that at least a part of it hasn't been said before, and replies! glorious replies!
I think that post made more sense in conjunction with the stuff I said in hates speech, which is what I thought this was, for some reason.

anyway, we're being far less harsh now, right? and yes Synraii I have! We went to the same school... I think... no wait... no... ...well somebody was mean in person at school.
  15. bushindu
btw guys will all offline events be on xbox ?

North American Soul was played on PS3, but they were the only ones for SCIV that spring to mind quickly and it was a fucking stupid idea:
Hey, lets play the version that gets lag OFFLINE - what prat thought that shit was a good idea?!
  18. SomeRandmFreak
Would a kind soul let me use their converted contoller if I go?
  19. Silent_Joel
It will be a mix of Xbox and PS3

So from release to say 6 months down the line how many events roughly are there likely to be?

Also, how often do the French guys have tournaments?

Cant make Cannes but with decent advance warning happy to travel.
