Thanks. I still have some issues to work out though. I'll have to update the original post with the details at some point, but the issues are basically:

- I don't think everyone gets that this is exclusively for finding local competition. People keep giving me their PSN and XBL gamertags.

- It would be nice for this thread to have more legitimacy, but Jaxel won't sticky it because of the next point...

- I have no way currently to keep the map up to date with active players. Jaxel could write something that interacts with google maps' API to keep the map updated based on last login date, but I don't think he'll do it. I could also write a bot myself that checks the profiles on 8wayrun monthly for the last login dates of the people on the map and removes them if they become inactive, but something tells me Jaxel wouldn't be too up for that either.

- I also have an idea for adding venues to the map if neither party can host a session at their own place, or if people aren't comfortable with giving away their location. I haven't thought it all the way through yet.

The idea of the map is to seek out local competition. Your distance relative to others is pretty important. I have a feeling I wasn't clear enough in the OP. I'll have to get to that at some point.
