SoulCalibur V Storyline Theory Thread

I recommend making a new thread for those questions make into something like 'What do look forward to in SCV' or something like that. This is not exactly the greatest of locations for those questions.

I feel like there have been a few of those already. Plus this is one of my last attempts to have newer comments on this board. Sad I know T_T

1. Theres no real least fav, some of them I'm just "indifferent"

4. Depending on how they wanna place Algol and Edgey, I'd say Talim, Setsuka's Replacement for the remaining 2. As for the rest, I'll keep my guesses secret.

Sieg's 2p and Pyrrha yell when she does ASB
Pyrrha, she whines too much. If it wasn't for my voice I'd be just fine with her though.
Sieg, yay for true damage! And quicker stance transitions.

I love that yell for some reason. lmao

I will admit it kind of sounds funny but after watching Ramon do AS B:4 over 20 times, the yell started to kill my ears. That dude is a beast xD

I really hope this isn't the cinematic scene that you see when you open the game up. That'd suck a lot. =/

It's pretty and all, but I agree. This looks more like an intro to Story Mode, and I feel SCV needs something akin to SC3 or SB's intro.

Are all of the characters going to be in story mode? So far, from pictures, only Patroklos, Phyrra, Tira, Siegfried, and Nightmare are.

Pretty sure, yeah. Although this game's story mode is a little different (It follows only Pats story to my knowledge), I believe that they will all appear sooner or later. And we've also seen pictures of ZWEI

That's what I am saying. The actual story mode revolves around Patroklos so why do we need everyone there who is not related to him or the malfested?

Because if not everyone was involved than the fans of those characters would rage that their main didn't get an input in the plot. But seriously, they have to be included, or they'll have a separate mode for other characters. Maybe, after you beat the story mode with Pat, you can beat it with other people. Namco can't just give us a bunch of paragraphs to read instead of a SC3 type story mode for each character.

That's true, or perhaps it's something like Soul Calibur II. You play the actual story campaign with Patroklos, but when you beat arcade with any other character, they get their own ending.

I forgot about 2! That'd be a pretty good idea also. But I kinda like 3's system better because you could choose your own path and get a different combinations of characters to fight, and cut scenes almost before every fight.

As for what Taki is doing, I'm going to guess she is busy with Gel-o-Fury (it was unaccounted for as of her SC4 profile) and misses the events of the game until they retcon her into them when they do a re-release/DLC/Port.

AMEN to that. I would rather have them become influenced by SB's opening.

I hope the Story Mode takes a significant amount of time to complete. That probably wouldn't be the case because once you start it, when would you take a break? But in order to include all of the characters, it has to be at least a decent length. I would love it if there were a lot of cutscenes like a movie.

I think that'll be the cut-scene after the SC4 Nightmare Vs Seigfried battle:

How pissed do you think Tira would get if Graf Dumas asked for Pyrrha's hand in marriage? Every guy that wants to marry her ends up dead and I think Tira is responsible for that but I don't think she'd be able to kill Nightmare. I've been thinking how Pyrrha might get SE and wondered if she gets it by unwittingly marrying Nightmare. Like as a wedding gift or something.
