Street Fighter x Tekken

This is the dumbest thread I've seen in a while. It is literally impossible to do Tekken and SF in the same game as they're two completely different fighters, so in order for this to exist, all the gameplay mechanics for one of these games has to go completely out the window, so we're forced to have 2D Tekken characters throwing hadokens or SF characters losing specials in favor of... actual fighting moves, lol. For them to do this, they have to screw over half the fanbase. Maybe they're talking about Namco X Capcom 3? That'd at least be believable.
 
Doesn't seem like too great a stretch. In Capcom vs SNK 2 most SNK characters ended up completely gimped because it was a Street Fighter game and they just didn't fit or got all their good moves left out.
 
Street Fighter's producer and the producer of Tekken took the stage at Evo. They said a new project that "people here will totally buy next year" will be announced at comic con. Smells like some kind of Capcom vs. Namco game coming.

It looks like SF4 with Tekken characters and 2vs2.

Still, though there's not much hype now, this'll probably be one of the biggest fighting games ever. On top of that, if they do it right (To include including Sets. >_>), this could help the fighting game communities in extraordinary ways. =O
