Dunno if tech forum would be better for this but I'll try here first. So I've been having issues with my PS3 and for awhile I just thought it was my PS3 getting worn out. Had a few issues but after taking it apart and treating it as though it were overheating and rebuilding the database and and restoring the file system I seem to have finally been able to fix it. Before yesterday it could rarely load games (disc of saved on system) but I did the rebuild/restore for a second time (and the first time since I took it apart) and now it seems to be consistently loading them.

Only problem that still exist is in SCV and as I learned earlier today it only seems to pertain to my account. What happens is anytime I try to play online I can get through the matches with no problem but as soon as I get to the "You win (or lose) screen" and go past the options to view license etc. it just gets stuck. It's not freezing it just gets stuck showing the character in their win pose, and no options on the screen or anything. And as I just stated, I learned just today that it's exclusive to my main account. I made a dummy account on my playstation and it was able to do a bunch of matches with no problems.

It seems like the main problem is it won't save online data. When this issue happens the "saving" icon never appears on the bottom left of the screen like it should.

So weird ass problem, anyone encounter anything similar or have any ideas? I'd be bummed if I had to delete my data and start fresh. But at least it doesn't appear that I'll have to replace my PS3 which was my original plan (when all these problems were happening at once).

Also, if this isn't a good place for this sorry and go ahead and move it to a better spot.

People keep sending me messages after I beat them, all with the following text or similar: "Qs 1v1" or "Quickscope 1vs1". It started about a year or two ago, but it's recently gotten very intense. What does it even mean?

Quickscoping is something my son is all into with his 7th grader buddies (that should tell you somoething right there). You basically pick sniper rifles. the idea is to quickly tap the ADS (aim down site) button and fire a shot offf. The way the game works is if you have your aimer anywhere near the target, it kinda centers it and you are able to get a kill for it.

My kid also likes to do 360 quickscopes and other "trick shots". kinda cool for lolz, but its more or less exploiting a glitch in the game. But most kids think they are god cause they can QS.
